Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe price was a little high, not crazy, just a tad spendy for the room. There were several little things around the room that were either broken or loose (like the toilet paper holder, some trim pieces, etc.) Also, they had these cool bath bomb things for the hot tub, but they never restocked them after we used them the first night. That could be our fault though, we never asked for more and maybe they don’t automatically replenish those.
We LOVED the large jet tub! Honestly, that was one of the search criteria I had for a room. I knew we would be doing a LOT of walking and I wanted to have a hot tub to relax in each evening. Totally met our expectations! We also loved the Lavazza coffee machine in the room! They did a great job restocking the coffee pods and accessories. The location of the hotel was great, too. It was close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see, but far enough to be in a less busy part of town.

SpainNoisy rooms around the staircase, We could hear the converations of the staff of the restaurant after their night shift and again the converations of the staff starting the morning shift early in the morning. I had to call front desk around midnight to ask them to lower their voice. Our room was facing the main street, poor insulation and street noise (cars and trucks).
Little 5* hotel with a great location in a residential area of Rome, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but few minutes away from Piazza del Poppolo. Little hotel with Michelin starred restaurant, no other services. No fitness center, no gym no spa. Grazia, the night manager was very friendly. Room was small and the furniture was a bit torn.

SwitzerlandIt's probably a 4-star hotel, so the property should present itself as such.
Great location! But not a 5-star hotel. No lobby, no bar... Breakfast is in a cellar, the terrace is abandoned, very basic room amenities, everything very simple.

United KingdomAlthough there were no complaints, the only thing we could say is the rooms possibly need to be updated/tidied up slightly. There were a few things not working in the rooms etc. That being said a lot of the group didn't spend any time in the hotel so it wasn't a major issue at all.
We've just returned from a whole company organised work trip. The trip was an incentive so it needed to be special. We loved the Tailor Suite. They were great. The staff were very very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel breakfast was great, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Everyone on the trip said the location is perfect for being able to visit the different parts of Rome.

United KingdomWe struggled on the breakfast. We're vegan and gf. The waiting staff didn't seem to understand dietary requirements and kept offering us croissants. Lovely. But they don't match to any of those requirements. Even though we'd given prior notice.
Liked the staff they we're lovely and our room was nice. Also a good location just a short walk from everything.

United States of AmericaThe hotel itself was very pretty. However, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest I've seen. And the air conditioning was pretty much non-existent. The air at max setting was still barely blowing from the window unit, which was also covered up by drapery.
I will say they packed a nice breakfast to-go for us. We had paid for breakfast, but our airport shuttle left before breakfast started serving. Each to-go box was full of fresh fruit, biscotti, and a sandwich.

United KingdomSadly needs some love and attention - missing art work on walls, fridge broken in room (but staff kindly provided all the ice buckets we could hope for), needs new carpets and a lick of paint all over. Although advertised as a 5 star am not sure it is currently - but excellent service.
The service was excellent - staff couldn’t do enough to help especially with us travelling with our 7 month old. Great location. Air con worked well in the heat wave. Lovely towels and robes. Restaurant was great too.

United KingdomBed wasn’t great, hotel a bit tired and needed a refurb in areas, wasn’t that close to a metro station and room wasn’t ready 20 minutes after check-in time. The hotel did not have a 5* feel.

SpainThe only major complaint I have is the quality of the mattress. It was quite saggy in the middle and therefore a bit bad for our backs. Also, the lack of drawers wasn't ideal so we pretty much had to live out of our suitcase the entire time. The layout was a little strange. When you opened the door, it was into the bathroom so when we had room service, the attendant had to go through our bathroom in order to get to the bedroom.
The breakfast was great. The decor was nice and modern. The location was convenient to major attractions while still being quiet and away from the crowds.

SwitzerlandComfortable and well located hotel very closed to the city center of Rome. The entire experience was enhanced thanks to the friendly and helpful hotel staff (especially thanks to Francesco). Do as well not miss the opportunity to taste for diner the restaurant All’Oro, Michelin star recognized, directly located in the hotel.
