Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIf you have large luggage, the narrow stairs may be challenging especially if staying on the third floor as it appears they do not count the first floor in Europe it seems....fyi Wi-Fi didn't work half the stay. Must wait 30 minutes between flushing the toilet.
Location was incredible, The staff was very communicative. Bed was comfortable. Very stylish. Had a small community balcony with nice view.

NorwayCould have been more clearly stated that the kitchen was sheared amongst both rooms. Could have been more toilet paper in the bathroom.

Bahrainthe room was in the second floor, and the steps were narrow with no elevator, so, if you have a heavy baggage you might want to reconsider
the location is amazing, the streets are cozy with lots of nearby restaurants, walking distance to lots of attractions in Rome! the host has been amazing, I got really sick during my visit and she was the nicest ! will definitely go back!

AustraliaRoom didn’t feel private, you could hear the other guest loudly going up the stairs in the evening. Booking said breakfast was included but was told on arrival that they had changed this and it was no longer the case.
Location was great and room was clean.

AustraliaStairs were very very narrow which wasn’t a problem for us but may be for people of larger stature. No fridge in room, so we put our water bottles into shared fridge as very hot days called for very cold water but they had disappeared by next morning :(
Loved the location, short walk across the river to main area of Rome. Air con was great for the very hot days in Rome. Close to restaurants and cafes with very good coffee and a well-stocked supermarket. Close to bus station. Do recommend!

AustraliaIt had been said before ; the stairs leading to the room are very narrow ! Very ! And to get upstairs with a suitcase is a real challenge and might be extremely difficult for some older guests. The aircon, while modern, could hardly bring the temperature to an acceptable level (it was 36 / 37 degrees outside during our stay though, but not unusual in Rome) and needs to be improved or serviced.
Very good location in the quiet part of Trastevere. The host, Chris, was very responsive on WhatsApp and helpful. The apartment was clean and looked freshly renovated. Good wifi. The breakfast was offered in a nice typical little cafe nearby and we enjoyed the experience. The apartment was quiet when we stayed and we had a good sleep.

SwedenIt was quite noisy from outside so we woke up a bit earlier than we had wished for, but it was no big deal at all for us and not strange for an old house.
Very cosy and clean! The room was quite small but extremely charming, bathroom was clean and in very good condition. Very nice host Stella, easy and service minded contact. We got breakfast coupons to eat out (typical Italian breakfast with coffee, croissant, juice, bread and jam) and especially one of the two places was really good. Everything felt very genuine and with lots of charm. We would definitely book again.

GermanyTrastevere is not the most well connected part of town in terms of public transport. However, there is lots of good food options nearby.
The place is clean and nice. Breakfasts at nearby cafe were a lovely thing - just be sure to know it’s Italian so it’s sweet breakfast! Stefania was helpful and answered messages fast. They offer little snacks too.

Cozy, great location, everything you need is there and the host is super lovely! We had everything we needed and even more. They gave us a compliment - a bottle of Ferrari Prosecco Brut - since we arrived on my husband’s birthday. It was a very kind gesture which made him very happy 🤗

United KingdomBathroom is small but functional. Location is great for bars and restaurants but a little far for walking to the main sites. Room quite light in the morning - maybe blackout curtains/blinds for those who want to sleep in longer!!
The room was really cute, bigger than I imagined and in a lovely neighbourhood with bars and restaurants nearby. Stefania was great to deal with, check in was really simple, room was cleaned every day. Shower is really good! Property was really quiet, we were not disturbed by the other guests at all.

United StatesThis was a very narrow, vertical building. If you have difficulty walking or heavy bags, you should be aware that this might be challenging to stay in. Otherwise, it was lovely and really well located.
The location of this B&B was incredible; nestled into a quiet part of the Trastevere neighborhood. You can easily walk into the bars/restaurants of Trastevere, or across the river into Rome Proper. Close to public transit and a taxi stand, too. The b&b itself is a very vertical building with only 2 rooms. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Our greeting from the host was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast itself wasn’t in the B&B, rather we had vouchers to a nearby resto/pub down the street that offered a free cappuccino, croissant, juice, and toast, which was delicious.

United StatesCould not have been any cuter! Super clean, helpful staff, breakfast at nearby bar/cafe which we really enjoyed. Great location close to the river, and lots of bar/cafe/restaurants. There is a school across the street which got noisy with kids getting ready to start class, but this didn't bother us (but note if you like to sleep in on weekdays). The room was a little small, but was not a problem for us (we had little luggage). The stairs up to the room on the second floor (3rd floor for people from the US) were narrow so again, if you have a lot of luggage or struggle with stairs this might not be a great option, but we didn't have any problems. Stefania was very helpful for us and a quick communicator. We enjoyed our stay here.
