There is nothing not to like!

Torre a Cona is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed and the staff welcomed us with smiles and warmth. Our villa was lovely and even though it was called ‘Piccolo’ it was certainly not small! Decorated with care and with our own private garden that has views of the Tuscan hills, it was perfect! After a month of travel around France and Italy, this was our highlight!

Great hosts; well-designed cottage; nice local village; unwelcome bugs; mediocre breakfast

Breakfast was average for the price - croissants, fruit, cereal. There was a giant wood spider that lived in the bathroom and would not leave (we tried removing it and it returned 3 nights in a row). There was also a large bug with many legs crawling across the back of the sofa one night (it looked like a centipede). Not surprising to have insects given that the home is in the countryside, but if you are afraid of bugs you may wish to know about these extra house guests in advance.

The hosts were wonderful. The day we arrived they cooked us a wonderful lunch. The second day, we had a medical emergency and they took great care of us, calling a doctor who came to the villa, taking us to the pharmacy to interpret for us, making sure we had what we needed. The cottage is lovely, spacious, well-designed. The pool was fine, nothing fancy, but clean and pleasant. The outdoor areas were comfortable and well-maintained. The nearest village is about 1 km away (easy to walk there), and the grocer and baker had the basics (pasta, sausages, fruits and veggies, bread). There's also a butcher, but he was on vacation while we were there.

Hidden costs with daily cleaning and extra coffee charges. Potholes in the road. Entrance to Torre a Cona could be better lighted so its easier to find. I drove past the entrance several times because the location on google maps is not accurate.

Location to The Mall. Big and spacious rooms. Washing machine and dishwasher available. Small playground for children. Very comfortable for families.

    Nothing

The main villa is beautiful, unique setting among olive trees and wine yards, breathtaking views, a sense of real Toscany.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have been very accommodating to my young children particularly Ms Victoria. She is very patient with my children and she knows how to make the cellar visit interesting and informative for them to appreciate at their young age. The place / stay is wonderful with the nice scenery and a very lovely cottage we are staying in with everything we needed for the stay. My kids even can spot deer running among the vineyard and olive trees. This is a total awesome experience for all of us!!!

    mosquitoes, but it's not property's fault :)

Great property, a side building aside a main palace. Great views on the surrounding Tuscany hills, convenient location, very quiet place. Apartment was very well equipped with pretty much everything, they even provide table cloth!. And apartment itself is very spacious and comfy. We already want to be back

Our GPS had a bit of trouble finding it. If your travelling by car I would put the local town, San Donata in Collina in the GPS. Torre a Cona is only 700 meters from there. We did think we would be staying in the main building and were a bit disappointed we weren't, but the villa apartment we were in was outstanding. Currently there is no accommodation in the main building. Only 1 bathroom in 2 bed apartment.

The apartment was spacious, with outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool was large and perfectly clean, and an easy walk through the olive grove. Florence was a relatively easy 15km drive away. Surrounding towns were fascinating. Staff were helpful and friendly and had extremely good English.

We visited Torre a Cona in April and it was still cold... due to this we had to use the heater during our stay. The cost for the heater was not included and finally costed us 75 Euros which was certainly very expensive for less than 2 days...

We were a family of 5 staying in one of the little houses of Torre a Cona. The location and confort of the place was excellent with very friendly staff.
