Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyIn general, I was satisfied, but I should also mention some small details. I think if they improve these, they will provide much better service, Such as : When leaving the hotel, you have to give your hotel key to the reception. The key is very big and heavy. In this hotel, which is in the 4-star category on Booking, the bathroom and elevator needs to be renovate. There is only a mirror in the bathroom, it should be in the room as well. Even though I made my payment online through booking before arriving at the hotel. I had to pay the city tax extra when checking out of the hotel. I've never experienced this anywhere else before.
The location is in a perfect place. I didn't even need to use the metro. The Vatican, the city centre, the Colosseum and other central areas can all be easily reached by walking. Sound insulation was good. There is a large television with internet connection in the room, you can easily connect to Netflix and YouTube. The beds were comfortable and our room was clean. Housekeeping cleaned our room very well every time we came. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And reception open 24/7

AustraliaHotel was undergoing renovations and painting so was a bit messy. But this work was necessary so we didn't mind. The only concerns were the very poor water pressure in our shower, our room air conditioner which could only heat our already warm room (the cold setting heated the room as did the hot setting) and lack of milk for the coffee machine in our room which we didn't use (because we need milk). And we didn't trust the old small lift so walked many times up and down 3 flights of stairs (but this was excellent exercise). Also it was very expensive (over 900 Euro for 4 nights incl tax) but all hotels in Rome are expensive.
Best location near Colosseum & Forum. Quiet room with great view of the Roman Forum. Nice breakfast. We could open the soundproof windows to cool down the room and improve our mobile data signal.

PortugalHotel Traiano has a great location, accessible by walk from several relevant spots, such as the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Fontana di Trevi, Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, Via del Corso and also the Colosseo subway station (same line of Termini, which is the shuttle and train stop to those arriving from one of Rome´s airports). The hotel itself needs updating… but has all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay, such as a nice breakfast, a fridge and a coffee machine at the bedroom, which is pleasant if you need to rest in the room after some sightseeing. I would also like to point out the friendliness, helpfulness and attention of the staff, especially Emmanuele Colò from the front office.

United States of AmericaWe stayed in a large room at the 3rd floor, STILL under renovation (see photo). The room, furniture and the bathroom are old and in need of maintenance. The bathroom does not have hooks to hang towels, nor shelves to put your own toiletries. The weak water pressure in the shower (bathtub with a curtain) and the two taps (for cold and hot water) make it difficult to adjust and control the water temperature. The door could not be properly closed when needed/wished, as it doesn't have any lock (see photo). The mini fridge in the room was in fact inside the closet, on top of the chest of drawers. The windows have sliding blinds: to close them you need to open the window and pull them out of the side walls. Despite some inconveniences we enjoyed our stay and we hope these issues will be resolved once the hotel will be fully restored.
The first thing to say is that this hotel is undergoing a major renovation: at the moment it is not a 4-star hotel. Depending on the room and the floor you will be staying, your experience will be different. The good points: The hotel is in excellent location, right in front of the entrance of the Trajan Markets and at walking distance to all the main attractions. There is daily room cleaning, free WiFi, free bottles of water, a coffee machine and a kettle in the room (capsules and tea bags are added daily). The bed was quite comfortable, with double pillow for everyone. Friendly and helpful reception staff available 24 hours. Very good breakfast in a beautiful setting (see photo).

United States of AmericaWe expected it to be loud during the during the day, but it did quiet down at night and the draft from the window was great. I wouldn’t say there was anything that we didn’t like about the stay.
I liked the location of it, because it was within walking distance to a majority of things we wanted to do, and we were able to find good eateries around that were hole in the wall places and not tourist traps. The breakfast was amazing as well and all of the staff was amazing.

IsraelUnfortunately the windows of the room, overlooked the street with busy traffic almost around the clock, not sufficiently soundproofed. The bathroom does not have hooks or shelves to hand towels and clothes. Weak water pressure in the shower and difficult to adjust water temperature. There was a small step in the bathroom - not convenient.
Great location - all famous attraction within walking distance. Very clean - daily room cleaning, including bed linen change. Daily replacing and adding toiletries, including toothbrush and even slippers. Coffee machine and kettle in the room (capsules and tea bags added daily). Comfortable bed. Polite and helpful reception staff available 24 hours. Good breakfast. Despite some inconveniences we really enjoyed our stay.

CyprusThe shuttle for the airport was too expensive. The prices says 65 and the y accept cards. Then they tell me 70 cause it was morning and at the end I paid to the driver 75 cause it was with card. It's not the money, but I would like to know the amount exactly from the beginning. And again it wasn't the hotels fault. I just want them to know.
Everything was great. Hospitality, smile everywhere, great breacfast and above all it was really very clean which is absolutely brilliant ❤️
