Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only thing that people should be aware of, in the room (economy) we were in, the bathroom was a tight fit. My husband is 5’11” with an slim build and where the toilet was located and how the shower opened, anyone that is much bigger than him would have a tough time fitting in there.
We loved our stayed at the Tramonto d’Oro so much. The views were unbelievable, the rooms comfortable and very clean, and the location was fairly good with a few restaurants and small markets (grocery store) within walking distance. Breakfast was great and the staff were amazing.

Wonderful genuine family run hotel. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is immaculate with lovely rooms and a dining area with lots of space and incredible views along with a bar and pool. A pleasure to stay at. A few nice choices for food nearby as well if you choose to venture out.

CanadaShower in room way too small. Also, because of exterior lighting, the room (#301) does not get dark because the curtains are white. Too much light seeps through. Because of this, we did not sleep well.
Terrasse of our room was great. View is spectacular Breakfast has nice variety.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. From a very friendly and attentive hospitality staff, stunning views, an extremely well-kept property, and a fantastic breakfast, Tramonto D’ Oro has it all. They even provided a breakfast to go since we had an early departure on the last morning. Not sure we’ll ever visit the Amalfi Coast again, but Tramonto would certainly be the main reason why.

South AfricaThat I couldnt stay longer.
I l9ved the tranquility and the beautiful view from the rooftop bar. It was so so busy in Positano and Amalfi - I was so pleased that we stayed in Praiano and even more so at Tramonto d'Oro. The family run hotel and staff made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was exceptional and the views possibly the best on the Amalfi coast. Best sunsets and amazing cocktails. Rooms are super super clean and the shower was the best I have ever had on tour.

United States of AmericaNothing! If we needed anything we could simply ask and be assisted.
The view, the staff, the owner, the food, and the calm of the hotel and area! I absolutely love this hotel and will be back again! Carmela welcomes her guests as friends and you feel “at home” and after a long trip that is the best feeling. From their impeccable service to clean and tidy space, the staff go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy every minute of your visit. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! We loved our breakfast cappuccinos, homemade parfaits and the fruit filled cornets were worth every caloric bite! Of course walking down the 400 steps to jump in the sea helps you work off your vacation indulgence! Of course stop at Cafe Mirante on the ascent back for a Lemon Zest cocktail to give you the boost to finish the last 100 steps! And when you get back to the hotel, jump into the cool refreshing pool overlooking the breathtaking view of Positano and the golden sunset (for which the hotel is perfectly named!) The dinners were perfection with local fresh caught fish the best way to go with the lemon linguine being my absolute favorite pasta in Italy! The ladies at reception were wonderful in arranging for our taxis to Positano and Marina de Praia for our fantastic boat day! Do keep in mind these one way trips can run €30-40 so a day away does have an additional travel cost but worth it! We came as guests and left as friends and I am forever grateful for the hospitality we were shown by Carmela, her family and staff!

United States of AmericaThe only thing I didnt like were the pillows on the bed, but I did not ask for different ones.
The view was outstanding, I couldn't have asked for better. The room was very spacious with a balcony and the bathroom was larger than expected. I can't say enough about the staff they were absolutely wonderful with information and offering assistance. The breakfast was the best I'd had on my 10 day trip, they offered so many selections of breakfast items it was hard to choose every day.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I believe could enhance the experience is if the hotel could offer shuttle service to Positano. Although they do arrange land and water based taxi service, the cost is high. And bus service although available is not a good option, especially in bad weather when water taxi service is unavailable. If you are lucky enough to get to Positano by bus you may find yourself stuck in Positano waiting for hours for a bus that is not full and unable to get a taxi back to Praiano.
Property is in a great location in the heart of Praiano. Close to many restaurants and One Fire Beach. Hotel pool is a great option for spending a quite day in town.

CanadaWould have liked it a bit closer to a good beach.
Everything. The rooms immaculate and spacious, the staff amazing and so helpful, the views spectacular, the breakfast was wonderful, the pool hard to beat for the area. It is a family run business for 70 years and the current owners are just wonderful hosts. Praiano is a great location on the Amalfi coast. It is quiet and away from the chaos of Positano but a short distance away so you can enjoy both worlds. Great for couples or families.

United States of AmericaThe hotel should consider putting printed information in each room about things to do and places to go in Praiano. For instance, nobody mentioned that one could go directly from the hotel down the cliffside to the public beach. We found that out on our last day.
Spectacular views, superb food, and a friendly staff speaking excellent English all combined to make our stay truly wonderful. There are lots of fabulous, affordable cafes within a short walk from the hotel. The food at each was also superb.

AustraliaNoise carries throughout the hotel given the tiled floors. Footsteps up and down the stairs were loud late into the night and corridor conversations felt like they were happening in my room.
Beautiful property with amazing view, loved the pool, breakfast and staff especially. We also loved the location away from the madness of towns like Positano but with an easy bus to travel around and explore other towns.
