Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was on the base floor so it was a duplex and had no lift with very tiny stairs. It was difficult to lifgt my luggage to the bedroom. The bathroom ventilation was not great.
Location is great and the Palazzo is Charming. The Staff was very friendly and helpful.

You needed 4 different keys to open 4 different doors to access the room.
Room was spacious, quiet and very clean. It was in an excellent location for first time travellers to Rome. Easy walking distance to the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and Pantheon. Easy 10 minute walk to train station to go to the Vatican and Colosseum. The hotel is located in the heart of shopping and outdoor cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great stay. Thank you! We really appreciated the ability to store luggage before/after checkout. They were also very helpful in getting us taxis. Lastly, they accommodated us with a packaged breakfast to-go when we had an early morning tour. Very good service.

Our room #22 on the 5th floor had an amazing patio and roof top garden. The beds (twins) were not comfortable… falling off the bed frame. The bed snd bath linens were great, too!
Location to Trevi Fountain and walking in Rome was great! Great suggestion to take the Green Bus Tour!

Our room was in a newly renovated part of the hotel. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. The location of the hotel is excellent just few minutes walk from Trevi fountain.

The shower was broken - it would only work for the hand-held extension and not the overhead shower. It was also plugged and nearly flooded the bathroom. They also forgot to give us the WiFi password and it wasn’t posted anywhere. It was also a bit of a pain to have to type in an entry code every time we wanted to enter the building. I understand wanting to expand the hotel, but having a front desk there as well would feel much more welcoming instead of needing to walk down the road to ask questions and check out/in.
We stayed in the newly renovated second building down the road and it was a large space for the area - good value for money! Decent WiFi, comfy bed. Great (but insanely packed) location.

The other person at the reception the next door could ha e fone with bring a bit friendlier nit like the helpful young man we had the day before.
We had to ho upstairs to the breakfast area and the young man was working on his own so was a little harnessed,which wasn't his fault at all. The first juries tasted very artificial so I didn't have much of that but all in all it was a very enjoyed stay and we were very impressed with the bath in one of the rooms it looked lovely.

We were placed in their “out building “ which was a short walk away “over rough uneven cobblestones”from the main hotel. The room was on the second level. You had to climb steep scary steps to get there. That was the worst part. It was named Trevium Suites… not what I bargained for! (It wasn’t a suite).
Location was great. Around the corner from Trevi fountain. The room was very nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. Adequate TV. Bathroom small but satisfactory.

Having a lift was great. Being in a very old building made it very small and hard to access. This was the only really challenge we had.
The property was right in the middle of the city and it was still quite amongst the hustle and bustle. Right above a great pizza place. The new rooms were a bonus.
