How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It smelled bad out side and the cleaning products used in the room and hallway were very strong. Not enjoyable to be in the room. But no other issues.
Close to the train station. Clean. Secure parking near by. Breakfast included.

Breakfast ok but not many options, no vegetables, nothing sugar free or gluten free. Staff was very nice and polite, they try to help you for any need you may have.

Excellent location immediately opposite train station and easy to find. Great for next day train connections to other parts of Italy. Helpful and friendly staff.

With a room over looking the street & train station, it can get noisy from the car & bus traffic. Our room was an older one, the bed was comfortable but even with the windows closed, it sounded at times as if the windows were open. Must chk for bugs , not bed bugs, in bed because we did have some bug bites after our stay that appeared the night after we had left the property.
Location , across from train station & local bus . The airport bus was down the street , less than a 10min walk. The breakfast was very good , the emps extremely friendly.

The receptionist (Zihad) was very helpful and professional. He delivered a 5starts service by being always available and trying to accommodate us as much as possible. I recommend this hotel for its staff, value for money and great location. 7min by trains to Venice, 20min from the airport by bus..

They did not have any ice available. We had to get ice from a restaurant across the street for drinks.
Convenient to the train station to get into Venice. It's easier than any hotel on the islands of Venice. Please of restaurants nearby. Staff was super helpful.

The zone is noisy, not very nice at night because of the people that can be around but is in front of the Mestre station, perfectly good to take your train early in the morning.
The staff at the hotel are amazing!!. Very helpfull and always in a good mood. Breakfast is ok. Thanks for everything.

The air conditioning in the room work loudly. Wi-fi in the room could not be set up.
The location is very advantageous if traveling by rail. The hotel is right opposite the entrance to the station, especially nice when returning late from Venice. The price was a little high, but it's practically Venice. Very hospitable guys at the reception, they treated me to coffee and handed a bottle of water. The bed is comfortable, blackout curtains for a good night's sleep, there is even a very small fridge.

The hotel needs some maintenance. They need to be a little more careful with cleanliness. Breakfast needs to have more choices. The price was not commensurate with the quality.
The staff was very kind, willing to help us. The train station to Venice is directly opposite and operates from early morning until midnight. Also across the street is the 24-hour bus stop We had booked 2 rooms. They upgraded us, at no extra charge, to one room which was quite large while the other was quite small.

A refrigerator in room would be nice.
Didn’t eat breakfast there however the guys at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating to whatever we needed. They are very kind and made our stay memorable.
