Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandExceptional. What an amazing experience. Amazing beautiful family. To also have the dinner experience in the vineyard was the perfect representation of Italy. Great food. Great wine. Beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful family and a gathering of different cultures. We simply adored it.

United KingdomThe air conditioning is centrally controlled and it would have been nice to have our own control.
The trulli are set adjacent to the owners vineyards and have kitchen gardens and the benefit of a swimming pool. Giorgio, the host is most welcoming. Our characterful trullo had a bedroom, large shower room and a living room with table, chairs and kitchen area with utensils to prepare simple meals which we enjoyed eating on our private terrace area with pool view.

United KingdomWe had the most amazing stay with the Spalluto family. Gorgeous trullo, had everything we needed, amazing pool. Beautifully quiet and peaceful location but close enough to all the towns we wanted to visit. We spent one night doing a cooking class followed by a communal dinner with wine from the property which was amazing fun and beautifully organised. Cannot thank Giorgio, Alessandro, Vincenzo, Beatrice and their family enough.

United KingdomOne of the shower cubicle doors was missing. It didn’t decrease our enjoyment but did leave a very wet bathroom floor!
The location of Trulli Il Castagno is beautiful, set amongst fields and vineyards so very peaceful. The breakfast tray delivered by Antoniana each morning were excellent value and just enough to start the day.

New ZealandNothing really, it was an excellent place to stay for 2 nights but 3 would have been better if time allowed. A couple of good knives for cooking would have been useful (I used a bread knife!) I guess not many people bother cooking on holiday!
Giorgio was an excellent host, spoke excellent English. Lovely location close to all the little tourist towns like Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca. Lovely area surrounded by vineyards. Property had a vegetable and herb garden you can use, which I did, and the pool was great though a bit cool yet in May. Washing machine and clothes line available. Our trullo had a very comfortable bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Lovely little table and chairs outside our trullo facing the pool for a wine at night. We bought 2 wines from the owners, both lovely. We were offered to do a winetasting with dinner in the evening. 4 wines all good and excellent history of each. Typical Italian meal with wines paired well with each course. Generous helpings and good way to meet fellow travellers. A nice bottle of their own olive oil to cook with

HungaryEverything was great on the whole, probably if anything it would be the beds were not the most comfortable and the kitchen was missing a few items that would have made the kitchen more functional, to be honest not everyone wants to cook so might not be an issue for most.
Great location, comfortable accommodation, beautiful vista, on a winery! Giorgio our host was fantastic! Checked in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved that there is a wood fire BBQ for use and gardens all over the property where you can collect herbs to add into your meals. They offer a wine tasting from their own wine production which we highly recommend. Wish we had stayed a little later in the spring when the pool was planned to reopen to enjoy more of the beautiful views. Oh and they have the best and friendliest cat ever 😊

NetherlandsI would say if you have a car it's a great place to stay , close to a lot of great cities , bit secluded ,but safe . If you are looking to dining out ,you need to drive . If you can cook it's a great place ,please come with few groceries ,Giorgio and Antonino are great folks and are close by. Both were super helpful and very informative. I did fulfill my dream to live in a trulli house ,I just wish I had come in summer as in winter there is nothing much to do here , all restaurants are in cities

United KingdomIt was just a little cold when we arrived but it is expected considering the type of accommodation and that we got here in December. In a few hours, it got very comfortable!
The location was great, being able to stay in an actual trullo in the middle of the countryside was so unique. The hosts even left us a bottle of the wine they produce and cherry on top, we could charge our hybrid car on the premises.

AustraliaThe second bedroom was tiny with little room for luggage, but only because it was the trulli room. The master bedroom was enormous. The location and setting was beautiful, and Georgio and Allesandro were great hosts. We really enjoyed the wine tasting evening.

United StatesI would have given a 10 rating if there was a full breakfast option. it was nice to have the delivered optional breakfast of homemade jam, cookies, bread, yogurt, but sitting at a table with fuller breakfast with other guests would have been better. the other B&Bs we stayed at all had better breakfast which was optional. Part of the farm stay experience is the local breakfasts.
Loved the onsite winetasting event. It was great to talk with other guests. Gorgeous property and spacious, comfortable rooms.

AustraliaNothing.
It was a beautiful family run homestay. And even though we didn’t know it at the time the night we stayed there was a wine tasting event. At least 40 people were there and lasted over 2 hrs. There are no food options so we should have had a late lunch at Martina Franca before arriving. But their homemade focaccia and home grown wine was fabulous. And a delightful breakfast. Stunning location.
