How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewGreat location for starting yor biketrip or hiketrip. Check-in is possible anytime because the keys are stored in a secure codebox. We liked this place even more than in Cortina because it's calmer place and no ongoing construction works as in Cortina. The outlooks from balcony is magnificent. No problem with parking (even a big caravan).
All was fine.

Verified reviewNice cosy apartment with balcony and stunning view. However it is quite isolated. It is 13 mins drive from cortina and the main ski lifts and food shops. It is ski in ski out only for the local ski lifts which are red and black runs only. As we were not so experienced, we ended up having to pay for a taxi every day into cortina. There is a bus but not until 9.50 every day. Wifi connection was temperamental, and hot water in kitchen only for one of the days unfortunately.

Verified reviewComfortable 2bedroom/2 bathroom apartment, responsive owner, and a sweet lady who helps out with some services (laundry, etc).
The address on booking.com is misleading. The apartment is NOT in the town of Cortina, its a 15 mins drive on SR48, away from the town. Only rent if you have a car as there's not a lot around the actual location. We were given the location after we arrived in the town and had a difficult time locating the property. Plus, it snowed heavily when we were there, and there was no one to clean the driveway. So we had trouble getting the car in and out. Just a few things to keep in mind.

Verified reviewBeautiful large apartament very close to Lago Sorapis trail. Close to Tre Cime. Very clean, with nice wooden furniture. Close to Cortina. Bus stop is right next to the house. Fully equipped kitchen, utensils and basic cosmetics provided. Great place!
A bit expensive but I guess the whole arena is costly.

Verified reviewWe still think that Lago Surpis was one of the most amazing lakes we had on our two-week trip in the Dolomites. This is partly due to its amazing location, just five minutes from the trail's starting point. The rest of it was great - it was easy to get around in other areas around the Dolomites, the views from the rooms were amazing - it was a great place to live, cook, and get around.
Initially, the apartment's interior structure seems strange, but you get used to it very quickly. Also, you need to be prepared to cook and be independent, since there aren't many good restaurants nearby, for breakfast, the place across the street is fine, nothing more, for breakfast, but it's hard to book for dinner, so we couldn't try it, and the restaurant next door is just okay. You can just arrive early and eat the meals for yourself. It is a wonderful view to be able to eat with.

Hated doing the 3 flight of stairs. Blow dryer plug in mystery was never solved. Strongly advise adding a washing machine and dryer.

Verified reviewVery comfortable stay with two nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Located within walking distance to the Lake Sorapis trailhead.
The property is approximately a 15 minute drive outside of town. We had unseasonably cold weather and had difficulty adjusting the heat.

Verified reviewThe apartment was big, well-equipped and with cozy arrangements. It was located in the nice, calm area of forests and hiking trails, with the view of mountains.
Beds were very creaky, so the sleep there was less comfortable than expected.

Verified reviewThe host sent us very clear directions to the apartment as well as how to get the keys to the apartment. We got the top unit on the third floor which was a climb. But it was not a big problem for us. The apartment is clean, nicely decorated, has everything we needed. It is in a great location, but not in the middle of the town which was what we wanted and it is near hiking trails for our hikes. It is expensive like all other lodging in Cortina in the summer. But having a kitchen means we can save money not eating out. The host was great in communications and was very responsive in our inquires even at night. Also we left something behind in the apartment and he was kind enough to look for the items. We will definite stay there again if we do go back to the area.
Booking.com mistakenly said that there was a washer in the unit. It was a mistake and should be fixed. This was not the host's fault.

Verified reviewIt's a clean and comfortable apartment with a great location midway between Cortina and Misurina. The location is a popular starting point for hiking trails and it's great to have the parking. Nice having a balcony. Everything works and the kitchen is well equipped plus oil and salt etc.
The WIFI is a 4g access point that's ok for occasional use but not really something you can use for work or streaming video etc. The decor is very dated. The dining area is small and dark. The listing photos don't make it very clear which apartment is being shown. The listing covers a number of apartments and it's easy to get confused as to which apartment you are really renting. Although you can click through to the individual apartment listings it could be made clearer by adding a title to each photo on the main listing. The lock box contains multiple keys and it's not clear which key belongs to which apartment (the management company say they will fix this)
