THE DINING EXPERIENCE - very, very plain food, served in a haphazard fashion, without any imagination, in a canteen style dining room. Very bleak bedroom. Ridiculously small shower.

The pool, the grounds, the entrance lounge, the beach, the level of cleanliness, general friendliness of the staff

Dinner was not as good as breakfast. Only salad from salad bar and gelato as dessert were edible,

Helpful staff, nice location, one of the best beaches on entire Elba close by ( we tried many of them!), possibility to go by bus to other towns on Elba, excellent breakfast. Complimentary bubbly, aqua aerobics, and happy hour on Sunday were additional pleasant surprises.

Is a little isolated but it is not a major issue since the beach is quite easy to reach on foot. But to reach the nearby villages the car is a must

The pool is really great even if there are no pool towels available a minor but annoying thing and easy to solve

The hotel was not on the beach. It is about 15 mins walk. The room we were in was quite far up from the facilities - the pool, the restaurant and the pool. We had booked 2 rooms but I got a call the day before to say that there was only one room a junior suite. It was a double bed downstairs and a double room up on a loft. They gave us half board and a bottle of sparkling wine as compensation. It was very expensive for what was offered.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was nice (even though we had booked 2 rooms) . The bathroom was good. The pool was fantastic but take care on the very slippery tilles.

The hot breakfast wasn't the greatest

The location of the hotel is very close to the beach, the bus stop to the main towns/ beach bus is right outside the hotel. The staff are the most helpful I have ever come across at a hotel !
