Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSome people may struggle on the 200 steps up to the villa but we had grandparents approaching 90 and they got up and down absolutely fine!
We booked the entire villa for our friends and family for the week around our wedding. It was absolutely spectacular - all brilliant rooms with incredible views towards Positano and Capri. Guglio met us in Praiano to help with our cases, and kept the villa clean and tidy around us. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with fresh coffee and eggs to order. We weren't sure what it would be like having staff there but they weren't imposing whatsoever, and they were incredibly helpful for travel advice, and obviously cleaning and breakfast too. The pool area was beautiful. Praiano is far quieter than the nearby Amalfi and Positano either side so we'd definitely stay here again when visiting the coast. There's so much more we could say, everyone has told us what a marvellous week they had. We'll definitely be back as a couple.

United KingdomThere is a lot of walking and stairs to get to the location, which you should be aware of, but this is true of anywhere on the coast. Very much worth the walk!
One of our best hotel stays ever. Stunning view, which many locals told us is the best on the Amalfi coast. Large room with a sizeable patio to sit and watch. Good location to get to see all the towns in the area. There was a heated pool from which you can watch the sunset. Wonderful staff who really made our stay a pleasure; they even worked out it was my partner’s birthday and brought a cake without being told to! We would absolutely stay again

BelgiumNothing. We got better on the stairs by the day .... don't let them discourage you from visiting this accommodation and their wonderfull hosts.
Praiano is the hidden gem on the Amalfi coast, small, cosy, nice little restaurants..... in the middle of Amalfi and Positano, but those 2 are overcrowded by tourists sailing in for a couple of hours during daytime (already in the beginning of April !!). Villa Frantaio is a very beautifull property, with probably the best views you can have on the Amalfi coast. Nice rooms, little (heated) pool, outside breakfast area with veranda overlooking the sea.... But then, the real differentiator, being our host Giulio and his team (Lia, Gianluca....) ..... they treated us like kings and queens, with enthousiasm and proudness, but also with a lot of respect and kindness.

AustraliaThere are lots of stairs to tackle when venturing down to the beach and some restaurants however this was not an issue. Julio was able to organise a scooter for us to hire making it easier to sight see along the Amalfi and get around Praiano. The staff also helped us with our bags and offer a porter service to assist with checking in and checking out.
The Villa is beautiful, the staff were amazing and very helpful. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning, including coffee and eggs (cooked fresh). The views were absolutely stunning and the room was very spacious and comfortable. We felt right at home.

United StatesI can't think of a single thing. Villa Il Frantoio exceeded our expectations!
Villa Il Frantoio is a hidden gem and slice of paradise away from the craziness of Positano. The villa is luxurious, the views are 10/10 and the staff is exceptional. Giulio and his staff are incredibly accommodating and so helpful - Roberta answered our many questions about local attractions and how to get from Praiano to Positano/Capri. Villa Il Frantoio is worth every penny -- if you are looking for a quiet and elevated getaway with easy access to neighboring local attractions on the Amalfi Coast, this is the place for you. We can't WAIT to come back and stay here!!!

United StatesMy husband and I stayed here for a part of our honeymoon. We didn’t know much about the area, but have since learned that it is conveniently located with easy access other locations on the Amalfi Coast. This Villa was the ideal B and B — the rooms were spacious, the pool was great, breakfast was delicious and the view was remarkable! The staff was so helpful and communicative throughout the stay. Next time around we plan to stay longer!!

United StatesThe Villa is a nice option for larger families. The views from the villa and breakfast/pool area are amazing. I loved the daily breakfast options with local fresh fruit. The hosts are very knowledgeable of the area and super friendly. All of the staff were great. I loved the embroidery on the bed linens and towels and the complimentary sandels. The villa is beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is lovely. Just be prepared for the stairs. Definitely worth the stay!

United StatesI can't think of anything I did not like!
We loved everything about our stay! Giulio and Roberta were extremely accommodating and helpful. They answered all of our questions and were always available. The property is stunning and overlooks the water with the most beautiful views of Positano and Capri in the distance. Breakfast was a highlight of each day and we were served the most buttery delicious eggs maybe ever - Giulio's homemade jams were also absolutely delicious (so much so that we purchased some to take home). The property is also very well situated - it's between Positano and Amalfi but doesn't feel overrun with tourists. It's extremely walkable which made for very pleasant evening walks to and from dinner (at truly excellent restaurants). I can't recommend this property enough and I hope to have the chance to visit again soon!

Wow , one of the best views in a place we have ever stayed. The room was such a good size! We would definitely stay again. The steps up to the property were not as bad as we expected, though we didn’t have big cases.
