Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe read the reviews before we arrived and there were some negative comments about the owners not being present etc but we thought they struck a great balance. They afforded us our privacy which we appreciated. Breakfast was good, highly recommend the scrambled eggs
This is a beautifully preserved historic building in a picturesque setting. It has been restored/refurbished to give guests the experience of staying in an 18th century villa but with all the modern amenities. It is absolutely full of character. The grounds are beautiful and the villa backs on to the surrounding countryside. The local town has great bars/restaurants and it’s all very close to lake Garda. We were met by chance by Eugenia (the most lovely lady who serves breakfast and is generally very helpful). There were plenty of clear instructions on how to check ourselves in as well.

SloveniaThe property was absolutely stunning, located in a small town that is strategically placed between Verona and Lago di Garda. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was very aesthetically designed with a special vintage charm! We also loved the pool area. The breakfast was simple but nice; we could eat outside with beautiful view of the countryside.

Netherlands- I’m only giving a 9 purely based on accommodation and location, however you do not have to expect service from the people working there (only the women doing the breakfast was lovely). During the 4 days we have stayed here, we have not seen anyone for the accommodation except with checking-in.
- Amazing accommodation with a great pool. Lovely get-away spot.

GermanyOn the negative side: there is no elevator, so you have to carry your suitcase to your room (which - in our case - was on the first floor and in the "tower" with pretty steep stairs). We booked two rooms: one was on the first floor for us and the other one was in the tower (for our kids). This latter one had no toilet in it. The toilet is next to the room in a pretty dark corner, which our daughters were scared of so they kept using the bathroom in our room. All in all, the place ok for one or two nights but for that money you can find better places in the area.
Basically it's a pleasant place with some minor issues. On the positive side: the lady who served breakfast was really friendly (didn't speak any English though). Our room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The hotel is located in a very quiet neighbourhood with a nice garden.

IrelandThe air conditioning is not capable for the room size. The heat in the Double room/Jolly Suite/Torretta Suite was awful, to a point where I would say it poses a risk to children and the elderly. The temperature outside was regularly colder than the internal temperature (Ranging 32°C - 28°C during the day). We began to avoid coming home due to the heat. The air conditioning was broken for the first few days we stayed, after it was repaired, it didn't make a difference. There was a tower fan supplied that did help. Self check in. The only person you speak to is the breakfast staff. I had to repair the shower head in our room. The room was rough around the edges with missing shower tiles. Rooms are not cleaned or serviced during the stay, with a charge of €15 for clean linen.
The setting is picturesque and has an aura of grandeur. The garden pool was great, with rarely other guests around. The secure gated entrance was lovely and the building has historic architectural details throughout. Good parking.Breakfast staff was friendly and most helpful.

BelgiumThe room in the tower was not ok. The bed should be renewed you can feel that’s it’s old and the shower should be renovated as well. Concerning the amenities in the room at least a new shower gel and shampoo could be given as well as new water bottles every day. Being unable to close our room door is not normal. The breakfast was not at all at the quality of our expectations. Hospitality - we would have liked, as we share the space, that there is at least a « hello and how is going » from your side. There was a lack of intimity during our stay as we had the feeling to live together.
La piscine était spacieuse et ensoleillé. L’emplacement était idéal pour visiter Vérone et le lac de garde.
