Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt was a bit scary driving towards the hotel from the central city as it required going down extremely narrow one lane streets and we felt often that the walls were closing in on our car before we got to the front of the hotel.
Staff was very friendly and rooms were nice. The restaurant next to the lobby made great meals and offered great breakfasts. Parking was generous, too.

New ZealandA little bit of a trek up the hill and through a small tunnel to reach the hotel but also good to be away from the noise of the busy traffic.
The staff were kind and helpful, the pool is great to cool off after a day walking around Pompeii.

RomaniaThe town was far, 20 minutes walk and if you went by car, it was a struggle to find parking space. You can find parking space between 2 and 5 when everything is closed, exept few restaurants. The beach is far to walk, small, verry crouded and again, can't find parking space
First, the hotel has a private parking witch is verry valueble in Italy. The staff is really friendly and helpfull, the rooms were verry clean. We whated massage and they didnt have, but they called someone and came to our room and massaged us. Extra mile services. 10+ for the reception , the cleaning personal, the bar and restaurant stuff.

BelgiumThe hotel is old. While this isn't such a problem, the sanitary is really outdated which makes it feel unsanitary. The pool is quite small (but it was very clean). While to city center is only about 15 mins by foot, the road is not nice to walk: a lot of traffic, dangerous road, up/ down hill.
The balcony with view on the Vesuvius, the well maintained and clean swimming pool, the large room with comfy beds, the free parking space (which is not evident in this area of Italy).

RomaniaNothing to say
The hotel is great and has an incredible view over Vezuviu. They took count on our request for room with a view and they helped us when we requested a bottle of wine late in the evening. The parking place is very convenient but you have to take count that the city center is at a 15 min walk. Great breakfast and very clean. We didn’t get the chance to use the pool but it looked very good. Definitely a very good price for the services. Thank you!

Czech RepublicBad location. We had to walk everyday and night through bad inclined road to hills into a dark tunel between crazy scooter drivers and cars with no sidewalks! There are no taxis in the area btw. Very poor breakfast. by 8:00 everything was gone. They dont do refill one day we had only coffee because nothing left. The hotel is old, smells funny. The elevator was only for one person. the room had no sea view as it was written or pool view or any garden view. i payed 500€ for 5 nights for two adults which you can pay in Dubai for 4 stars hotel. This hotel deserves 2 stars for a max. One for the staff and one for the pool otherwise its very poor. Its a hotel for 60 years old and above. We never met young people there. Really disappointed.

SloveniaThe road to the city center is without sidewalk and a bit dangerous to walk during the night because of traffic.
Hotel is in a quiet location with free secure parking. It is located 15min walk from city centre. They have a nice pool with all facilities. Hotel staff is very friendly. We had a fruit salad at the pool which they didn't charge and gave for free. They also offer free lemon flavoured water at the pool. I forgot the mobile phone in the toilet and room service staff brought it back to me right away. Breakfast was very good with a lot of food to choose from. You can reach the cable car that takes you to the mountain in 20min and you can enjoy some stunning views.

FranceNothing negative worth to be reported.
Great hotel with a stunning view on the Vesuvio from the balcony. The team is very kind and is very careful to customers' needs. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Castelmare (15 min by foot), but they have a free shuttle to the center and train station (all stops from Sorrento to Naples including Pompei). So, even if accented, you can reach everything. Breakfast very good. The restaurant is serving good quality local meals. The pool is not very deep, but enough to swim and refresh after your tours. A very good choice at a good quality/price.
