Very nice apartment. Very spacious, very clean. Parking place for the car and easy to reach without having to drive up hills. Swimming pool for the kids. Very good working air conditioning in all rooms. Host is very easy to contact and answers questions quickly. Easy to get around by car, supermarket nearby and other cities too.

Very beautiful, modern apartment with an excellent view over the lake and a large garden. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The location is a bit outside the center, but wonderfully quiet. A very nice place, i'd love to come back!

Villa Sofia is the perfect place for exploring Lake Maggiore. Situated in the small and quiet town of Baveno, it is a several minutes drive from the lake and Stresa. The villa itself is very elegant and comfortable, with a nice garden and beautiful view over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Manuela, our host, was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend Villa Sofia.

The sofabed has a thick comfy mattress but is squeaky, earplugs muffled it fine. Various neighbourhood dogs barking. The wifi was a bit weak sometimes and not so good in the bedroom. You know this when you book - it is out of town, an ok 25 min walk downhill, but harder going in the heat uphill. There were never any taxis at the rank by the ferry terminal that we saw. We took a taxi once from Stresa and it was €18.

Villa Sofia is modern, fresh, clean and v well equipped. Fantastic view from the balcony. Manuela was attentive and super helpful. The memory foam bed is comfortable. Balcony seating for meals. There were coffee pods, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, water, washing up stuff, shower stuff, even washing machine pods. The aircon worked well in both rooms.

About 20 minutes walk from the "core" of Bavena, the infrastructure of the roads leading to the town centre is a bit lacking for pedestrians, often without footpaths. Googlemaps had a hard time finding the location on a map, but neither of these are within the power of the hosts.

The apartment is clean, well furnished and comfortable. The hosts had left water in the fridge, snacks and what was needed to make tea & coffee, which is a nice touch. All the equipment worked fine. Neighbours have a donkey or sheep/goats, which is great for little kids.

It was our best apartment so far for our entire 6-week trip to Europe. The place was sparkling clean, totally comfortable in every way, great bedding, all facilities were there. Secure parking behind automatic gates, very walkable location, close to most local attractions. Recommended to all!

There is so much to like. The apartment has been well renovated with lots of nice touches to feel like you are at home. It also has a complete kitchen so you can cook with all the crockery, glassware and utensils you'd need. Along with a large fridge and dishwasher. The washing machine was also appreciated. One of my favourite things was the view from the apartment over the lake and to the mountains. I watched the sunrise every day. It was beautiful. There's a table and chairs on the balcony so great for a morning coffee. Manuela the host is lovely. She left a number of things in the apartment to enjoy including coffee and biscuits, and checked in on me over message a number of times. I highly recommend this villa. Thank you for a delightful stay Manuela!

Doble bed in the bed room was a bit too soft for us, but it is really very personal.

Clean and comfortable apatrment with an amazing view to the lake. Free parking. Manuala helped with everything immediately, even though we didn't meet her. Sofa bed in the living room is big and comfortable.

Windows are a bit old, entrance to the house a bit smelly, but inside of the appartment nice and clean!

Lovely house with very responsive and hospitable host. Amazing location with view to the lake! Beautiful garden with play facilities for the kids! We loved it!

Lovely new apartment, more than enough space for a couple. Super clean and comfortable, bed very comfy, all you need in the kitchen is already there, nice bathroom, high standard. Self-check in possible with the keys in a locker. Manuela is giving clear directions and great recommendations :) We had a super relaxing break! Sunrise at the lake - good view from the balcony as a bonus and a nice garden space.

Bathroom only has shower, no bath (my favourite). The apartment has a nice bedroom, but if you use it for more than 2 people (as we did), the second sleeping option is a sofa-bed in the kitchen/living area. The mattress of the folding sofa bed is of high quality, but of course it is less comfortable to sleep in a kitchen also because the fridge makes considerable noise (so we switched it off during the night). Finally, there are two apartments on the same floor, which connect by a door (locked in our case). That's nice in case you are more than 4 and rent both apartments, but for us it meant we could hear quite well the neighbours through this the door. These were no major issues, but since the rating of this place was very high, maybe it's worth knowing about these minor drawbacks ...

Modern and well-equipped apartment. Nespresso machine with enough capsules. Washing machine (half-size but enough). We did not meet the host in person, but communication by messaging was easy. Balcony has view of Lago Maggiore. There's a round pool, which should be nice in the summer (it was closed in autumn). The walking distance to Baveno is 20' (5' by car), so this place is best if you arrive by car.
