It is a shame that there is not a restaurant on site. Drinks and ice cream are available throughout the day and evening but given the location and the limited options nearby we would have appreciated being able to eat at the hotel. The surrounding area is very focussed on the trade from the ruins and therefore it goes very quiet very early. The bedrooms are sufficient but basic.

The pool was fantastic, a great place to cool off during the day and evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing maps of the local areas and advice on the best places to get gelato. Don’t miss De Vivo in the town of Pompei. Delicious! We had a lovely view from our balcony, overlooking the pool and far reaching views of the area.

Bathroom didn't have a walk-in shower. Would have liked a fridge in the room and as a family, would have appreciated an extra plug socket or 2.

Location is second to none for the Pompeii ruins being only a few minutes walk. There are lots of places to eat & drink within short walking distance (which is a must after a day walking around Pompeii in the heat). The hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Room was more than adequate for what we needed as we were not going to spend much time in them. Very small TV which we didn't even look at (guessing it would all be in Italian anyway). Bathroom was a good size. We had a balcony which overlooked the swimming pool. The swimming pool was a nice size, clean and plenty of seating / sunbathing areas. Breakfast was continental which was on a balcony overlooking the pool. Again, selection was ample and staff friendly & accommodating. I would have no reservations about recommending this hotel for a short stay / weekend break.

Pool was fantastic for the kids in hot July made Pompeii so much more enjoyable. Decent breakfast.Good AC and clean rooms. It could do with a repaint but other than that it’s perfect. Walk easily to Pompeii Scavi stop on the circumvesuvia train or we preferred the bus from Naples airport dropped us near to the hotel. Pompeii archeological site entry is a 5 minute walk away.

Nothing bad about hotel. We went to wrong station (Pompei not Pompei Scavi) and got ripped off by a Taxi. NB go to Pompei Scavi on local line from Naples. Not great restaurants for night time, but hey, who doesn’t love pizza!

Fabulous pool. Good breakfast. Very accommodating staff. Amazing location. Excellent for Pompei ruins and bus to vesuvious. Not loads of shops and restaurants near by, we got sandwiches and pizza slices from shop next tobtrain station for lunch, v nice.

The log in to the wi-fi was somewhat cumbersome.

Very well situated, just a few minutes walk to the train station and to one of the entrances of the excavation field, to the Vesuvius' bus stop, and several ordinary touristic restaurants. Still within walking distance (20 min) is a more lively street with several restaurants of varying price level.

Very friendly people in the hotel and very clean. It is dated but this is not at all a problem. You can open the window from the bathroom (only bath no real shower, have to hold it in your hand) so you have a view and the sun in your face in the morning. (swimmingpoolside of the hotel)(you can sit on your balcony, every room has one) This was a very quiet periode of year, season did not start yet so very relaxing (for us) (the sun is also very welcome in this period and the autostrada was not troubeling us at all (calmer period?)nor was the Railway (very near, you can see them further down of the hill from the room)) The other side (across the street is a green space and open, very relaxing because these are the old ruines of the city of Pompei. The hotel is very very near the entrance (<10 min.)(marina port) (this is no exit by the way) and very very near(<10 min.) the exit of the Villa dei Misteri (only exit, no entry). Free parking very easy at the hotel and lots of space for many cars. We would go back to the same hotel for sure (at the spot the hotel it is named 'Motel').

So - things you might not like so much, if these bother you, perhaps it's not the place for you.....it is only 2 star, so don't expect luxury. The train station being so nearby is noisy and the frequent trains rattle past the building during the day - you get used to it, but it's not quiet. The bathroom, although clean was very dated and the enamel bath had rust spots. Not all rooms have aircon - not a problem in October, but I can imagine it is in August.

Remembering that we only paid iro £20pppn....this place was amazing value. If you go expecting 2-star you will not be disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful - with basic English. The room, basic and dated, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast simple but plentiful. The poolside terrace was a lovely to relax in, and although unheated we had a awesome swim in late October. The location is about 10mins walk (for a 7yo with luggage) from the circumvesuviana trainline, pompeii ruins and bus to vesuvious, and so within walking distance there are places to eat and get souvenirs too - if you don't mind being touristy. Highly recommended for a budget stay to visit the area. Good Pokemon in the area too, if that's your thing!

The restaurant was not the best italy has to offer

The receptionists are very welcoming and genuinely helpful. In terms of location/value for money, the place is like a lovely oasis in the otherwise run down hotel/camping district of Pompeii (the antique city is just a 5 mins walk away). I was allowed to use the pool although I arrived late and the staff really helped me find alternatives when my regular travel route closed due to a fire nearby. Overall, this seems like one of those traditional family owned hotels, very well looked after and a friendy, calm atmosphere. I would definately consider coming back again

The hotel is a bit dated: could do with a revamp.

Superbly located to Pompeii archaeological centre. The room was good as were the staff. Breakfast was reasonable.

This hotel was more of a motel, but it was very affordable, super close to Pompei Scavi train station (and the ruins entrance) and the staff were friendly and helpful. Best of all it had a lovely pool to cool off in after a long day at the hot and dusty Pompei ruins.

Fantastic pool, excellent location right outside Pompeii ruins on nice quiet street, away from traffic, easy short walk to main circumvesuviana station to travel all over the area. Perfect for family of 5.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, so close for entry to the ruins, bus to Vesuvius and train station if going to Naples or Sorrento. The bedrooms are fairly basic, e.g. no hairdryers, etc but they are clean, the air con works and you won't be spending a lot of time there. The swimming pool is an excellent advantage over other hotels nearby and we used it everyday after walking in the sun. The hotel team are all friendly and approachable and they made a beautiful cake for our twins' birthday. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Pompeii.

The economy rooms are very tired, they are placed around the pool area a bright paint would really improve their feel, my 2 older children stayed in these rooms and they had a huge problem with ants, the staff sorted the problem on the first night but it was so bad the following night they were rather upset because their room clothes beds were covered with ants. Another quiet word and they were moved which we were grateful, but I think a token discount or complimentary meal would have been welcomed for them, my daughter is only 15 and she woke during the night 2 an army of ants crawling over her in bed. Italians and wifi, I go to Italy a fair bit and they just don't get the wifi thing, I don't rely on hotels cafes or bars for wifi, they are truly stingy with it they don't like to part with it and when you do get the password IT doesn't work, and it dosent work in the hotel, even at the reception. The hotel food is beautifuly prepared but very limited, some snacks to order would be really great, because if you don't have a car it's a walk

Really enjoyed this hotel, a family run place from what we could see with excellent staff, very attentive. The location brilliant a few mins walk to ruins and train station, but still a very tranquil feel to this hotel, the town is about a 20 min walk and worth the effort plenty of bars and restaurants on the way and a big supermarket. Our room was in the main part of the hotel a large room with a big bathroom and balcony over the pool and great views of the town and hills. Comfy bath with plenty of linen. The restaurant on site was lovely and the the wine. The pool area very good plenty of pool side furniture the pool is open till 10 pm which is great and no caps needed loads of car parking spotlessly clean The economy rooms are large and have a good big bathroom

If I was being picky then the wifi was a bit slow.

Very friendly staff, in particular the waiting staff. Very clean hotel. The pool was spotless and cleaned every morning, which to be honest I haven't seen most hotels do. We were there midweek and had the pool to ourselves most days :-). Within 5 minute walk of the Pompei ruins. They were kind enough to let me bring my motorcycle into staff carpark and under cover which was a big plus. Great value for money. Would definetely come again

Internet connection was free (hurray) but not very reliable. Probably not the hotel's fault.

Location was wonderful--walking distance to the Pompeii Scavi and to the train station; hotel staff were helpful and friendly; the young man who checked us in and answered the many questions we had (in both English and Italian) over the next two days was especially good, with a rare sense of humor. The pool is fantastic, deep, wide, and clean. Heaven sent after a hot day of looking at the ruins.

Very near the entrance to POMPEII - Beautiful clean swimming pool. Able to park outside our room, securely. Breakfast ok, not a massive selection & pre made instant coffee ( definitely not italian)!! So that was disappointing - overall Good value
