The pool wasn’t clean and the staff were not the most helpful at the desk. It was very difficult to get to and from the centre from the hotel.

Bedroom was lovely and had a lovely dinner in the hotel. Breakfast was always good.

The breakfast was poor compared to other hotels I stayed at. The building on the outside looks like it would need a renovation.

Rooms are nicely decorated in the reception area and in the lobby room. The upper terrace on the second floor is extremely nice, beutiful view. If you don't want to park your car in their parking lot, you can leave it on the street next to the hotel location, where it's free. I liked that our towels were changed every day.

Two similar rooms would have been better.

Booked two rooms but they were quite different. One was great and other good. Since I made the booking I also should have been offered the larger room.

The room we got had a very loud fridge, like extraordinarily loud. We fortunately had earplugs but if you don't then you probably would struggle to sleep.

We have stayed here before and would again. It's a solid hotel with a nice bar and pool. The staff are friendly and breakfast offers a good selection with a lovely view. Location wise it is a little bit out of the city, you can walk into the center but it'll take maybe 30 minutes. There is a metro nearby too. That said the problem with the location is mainly walking back up to the hotel in the heat, none of this is a problem if you have a car of course.

It’s visible they try to cut cost. Some needs for refurbishing are due, and breakfast is three star level and with the same things put out over and over.

The hotel is a charming property, with beautiful layout and traditional Italian details. Nice outdoor area. The staff is friendly and helpful

Breakfast was very average, no fresh fruit or hot cooked food. Also, no wifi in our rooms we used mobile data.

Room was lovely, adored the balcony. The staff were incredible and friendly. Adored the pool, super fun, clean and towels provided.

The location is terrible. The surrounding area is dirty and seedy. There are no real options for eating out locally which means you need to rely on taxis (at €20 at least per single journey) in order to eat out, see local attractions or connect to other public transport services. Breakfast was sparse with essential items missing at times (butter!!) Beach entry was included but staff didn’t provide a ticket on our first visit and we had to pay €28.

Amazing staff, that's what makes the place really nice. It was all clean and with attention to details when it comes to service. Would we come back? Yes, but with much better prices. I paid the price due to late planning of our vacations.

The hotel is in a nice old building, not so far from the center if you have a car. The hotel has a deal with a lido at the beach where we don't need to pay for the umbrella and chairs, which is great. It also offers a shuttle service to the beach and to the center

The facilities were a bit 3-star, rather than 4, but they were adequate. The drinks and food were expensive, but not much more so than in any other tourist place in the area... the problem was that there is not a lot of things to do in the area they are in, and though this was well known to us before our trip, we did not quite understand that the shuttles were as limited as they were in availability and that taxis would be so expensive. Breakfast was lovely in the sense that the food was served in a lovely room and there was plenty of it, but it was a bit disappointing in the lack of variety and freshness.

The pool was small but clean, nice and private surrounded by deliciously smelling vegetation. We felt very lucky to have had this facility in the Sicilian heat while travelling with children. The ambience and decor of the whole hotel was wonderfully atmospheric and the staff were very accommodating. Their free shuttles into the city centre and to the private beach were a wonderful bonus.

We got a room with very nice view and tarrace however it was beyond the reach of the wifi - this was reported more than once however nothing could be done except to change our room. The bathrooms were very poorly cleaned and rooms are not maintained properly - falling of skirtings, some of the tiles in the bathroom missing, jets in the thub not working... There was no stuff like pen and paper, needles and things that are usually provided in a 4 star hotel. The view from the breakfast area is stunning however the breakfast itsefl is exactly the same everyday - the only warm food is scrambled eggs made of powder and some sausages. The only thing worth appreciation is the personel and the coffee which was amazing.

The personel in the hotel is very proffesional, helpfull and always smiling. I also appreciated the architecture and the interior design of the main building.

Without car/taxi is a little bit hard to reach the hotel from the city center.

The interior of the hotel is very beautiful. Also the 2nd floor balcony has great view of Mt Etna and the coastline. Restaurant offers very tasty meals with a reasonable price. Being outside of the city center makes it a good base for car trips around Catania.
