Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaThe apartments are in a 2nd floor with many stairs, but in La Spezia and cinqueterre small light luggage is a must, so it didn`t bother us
The apartment is clean and comfortable, only 2 blocks away from the train station. Diego, the host was very kind and helpful.

United StatesCould use a safe.
Upon making the reservation, I received a message through booking from Diego about the accommodations. He then contacted us through WhatsApp as he sends video instructions on how to find the room, and how to use the 3 separate keys to access it. The room that we booked was huge with high ceilings, excellent AC and even a balcony lined with flower boxes. Our room included a queen bed, two nightstands, a wardrobe, a desk, a small fridge, TV, kettle, and a large mirror. One bottle of free natural water was included. There are charging sockets above both nightstands. The bathroom has plenty of space and the water pressure is good. The apartment is on the second floor and there is no elevator. It’s about 53 steps up and involves three separate keys to access it. The door is one of those antique doors with an old-time key, and that can be a little challenging for people who have not used those before. However, Diego is quick to assist if you struggle with it (like I did). The windows are also antique and not incredibly soundproof as you will hear the traffic or nightlife (especially Friday night) outside a bit-didn’t bother me as I use earplugs. This apartment is very close to all you need in La Spezia, including restaurants, shops, and even a supermarket. It’s very close to the train station-about a four minute walk to the left as you exit the train station. Checkout time is early-9:30am.

Location location location! The property is just 5 mins walk away from the la spezia central station. Diego is one of the best host I had a chance to interact with. Extremely responsive and helpful; he makes you feel at home. I would definitely stay here again if I am visiting cinque de terre. Strongly recommended.

HungaryNothing. It was all excellent
There was nothing to dislike about the place. Any place one could nit pick about but this place was really great. The host was super helpful, understanding and accommodating with our needs. I would really recommend this place to stay. 5 minutes from the station, right above shops and 2 minutes walk from the main attraction road. All must see places within 15 minutes walk of this location.

RussiaThis is a great apartment for the money. Diego helped us with the check-in and recommended the best fish restaurant in Italy, where we celebrated our birthday. And in the morning he brought two balloons and a present for our princesses. It was very sweet.

United StatesIt's two long flights upstairs. Hauling up bags in our 70s was not fun. But, Diego nicely carry them down stairs for us! Otherwise, a great place to stay.
Diego, the proprietor, is the best example of a host. He is super friendly and super helpful. And he is mostly there on site, unlike these Phantom proprietors we frequently come across in rentals. The location is a 2 minute walk to the train station and a 25 minute walk to the marina. A few steps away from a supermarket and a main pedestrian thoroughfare with all the shops and restaurantsyou could want. The room condition looks like they built it yesterday. Really really clean and well maintained. There is a parking garage literally under the building. Or 1 minute away is the train station long-term parking

AustraliaMinor point. No glasses yet there were was a corkscrew. It didn’t concern us because we travel light but stairs might bother some but in these grand old European buildings that’s the way it is. A beautiful staircase though.

AustraliaVery close to the train station for Cinque Terre. The hotel had easy self check in with many instructions and contact details if needed. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was clean. They had someone clean the room each day also. They had tea, biscuits and what not in the hallway which was a nice touch. Diego was very helpful!

United StatesLocation was excellent being very close to the train station. We made this our home base for 3 nights to explore the Cinque Terre. The room was spacious and shower was large and the bed was comfortable. Property was walkable to the main points of interest and to the water front. We also took a 20 minute bus ride from Maralo bus station to Porto Venere which was very nice. From the town you can walk to San Pietro church which was worth visiting. It has a very nice harbor with shops and restaurants. We took the ferry back to La Spezia which was very picturesque and relaxing.
