How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bed comfort could have been better. As soon as I got into the bed, the mattress already felt like it was used past its expiration date and it felt like the center of the mattress had a slump due to being very old. this was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in.
The breakfast selection was incredible, featuring a full buffet with fresh-baked pastries, a station with various egg selections and fresh cheese with cold cuts, and a wide selection of fruits, yoghurts, and cereals.

Breakfast. Restaurant. Bar. No hospitality tray. Noisy, the rooms are supposed to be soundproofed, but you can hear adjoining rooms using the bathroom facilities, the constant rumble and vibration of the trams running along 2 sides of the hotel, the dogs barking in the Doggy Park opposite and a never ending stream of emergency vehicle sirens and we had all this on the 4th floor.

There was noise outside from the trams so the windows could do with more soundproofing
affordable and good location - 15 min walk to pinoteca de Brera. The staff were efficient and the room was large and comfortable.

The hotel was near the transport links however as we’re at the third floor we can hear the tram, motorcycles and cars on the road.
The property is very clean and provided amenity kits for the bathroom. Shower is very good and clean. Our room has a moni fridge and had still and sparkling water plus a can od coke and beer which is included on room price. Sufficient wardrobe space and offered laundry service for a price. The bed is comfortable and big. The TV was huge but only had italian programs. Breakfast was a buffet and was very good.

Lack of vegetables and fruit on breakfast, breakfast was the same every day (but was good though), we heard trams from outside and the noise from the hallway but it wasn't that much disturbing
Great location, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast, good service (room service, reception), free water in minibar... we really enjoyed our stay

Connecting to WiFi - you need to register using your email address and confirm email, bit of a long process and unnecessary.
Nice clean modern room with great breakfast which had lots of variety.

No labelling of allergens on the breakfast buffet which made it very difficult to choose food for my dairy intolerant daughter. Some of the waiting staff were not very helpful
Good sized rooms, very clean. Right next to good transport links. Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant.

I could not use the open wifi, because my computer doesn´t accept open wifi. The staff provided an alternative wifi adress that I could use. Then there were very thin and cold blankets on the bed, impossible for February. The staff brought more of blankets for m, but I feel sorry for the people that use only the miniscule blankets that are officially provided.

Not many restaurants close by, travelers arriving on Sunday need to know that there is no restuarant open in the hotel and you need to walk some distance for food

Breakfast area is not so big and it gets crowded quickly
Check in was easy, polite staff. It was clean, breakfast had a lot variaties to choose from. It’s close to metro and not far from Duomo ~30 min by walking.

A bit noisy at times with the tram lines passing below the hotel.
Very Centrally located within minutes to metro station Republica. 10 minutes walk to Centrale and Porta Garibaldi. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Good value for money.
