How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There was not hot water. They claimed the heater is broken and it can take time to fix but I have a feeling this is a constant situation..

Awful and dangerous place. Upon arrival, we were assigned two rooms. Soon after, while my wife helped our 8-year-old daughters with their bathroom routine, the glass shower door fell and shattered, causing small cuts to all of us. In the chaos, we didn’t take photos or videos of the incident. The hotel manager, Shana-Key, offered us complimentary benefits, and I requested free dinners and an airport transfer, which she confirmed. Over the next few days, we ordered modest meals with no mention of extra charges. However, the day before our departure, I was told the airport transfer would cost $120, despite our prior agreement. The manager admitted she had overlooked the detail. Things worsened when she informed us we owed $467 for the dinners, which we were told were complimentary. Upon returning to the hotel, we were blocked from our rooms and aggressively demanded to pay. A man, likely the hotel owner, appeared and refused to identify himself, but seemed to be in charge. We were pressured to pay the $467, and a local police officer stated he couldn’t intervene but threatened to arrest us, including our children, if we didn’t pay and the owner filed criminal charges.
Standing up and urinating in our pool with guests and staff observing, is not human. You should have been arrested instead of just been hauled off the property. As expected, you returned home and say card was stolen. You spent 9 out of your ten days then wanted everything free after smashing shower door, disrespected staff and made our other guests very uncomfortable. You are an embarrassment to your children. I hope your actions haunt you for a long time. I know it will haunt your family, you should be no where near people much less children. Syvon (Property Owner)

Verified reviewI liked the pool area, the roof garden and the food. Breakfast was great and they tried to fulfil your requests. The staff were very helpful. Good for a relaxing break.
Distance to the town is far and not a straightforward walk either. You will need transport to get around.

Verified reviewThe location was easy to find with the directions received. The area was very quiet. The staff was very accommodating, and the customer service was exceptional. Wifi is available on property. The room was big, with 2 queen size beds. The bathroom was huge with an auto flush toilet. Breakfast was provided each morning. The meals were excellent. The view from the location is breathtaking, and the grounds were well kept. There is a pool and jacuzzi on location. Towels for swimming were provided daily.

Verified reviewThe resort itself is fantastic. My room was spacious, clean, well decorated and very modern. The staff were all extremely nice and incredibly thoughtful, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I wanted or needed. There was always someone on hand for a cup of coffee or a bottle of water or a meal. They went above and beyond for me, including calling me when I was out and it started raining to see if I was OK, and sending a taxi to collect me and bring me back. Everything at the hotel was easy and straightforward, and it was a very nice place to pass time. There were plenty of spaces for socialising, like a pool with deck tables and a rooftop terrace, plus a pool table and a ping pong table. There was also fast and reliable WiFi.
For me, as a traveller who loves to explore places on foot, the only drawback is the location. While it is possible to walk to the beach, it is a bit of a hike and it is easy to get lost. It is best to access the resort in a car, preferably with someone who knows where they're going. Taxis were easy to use, and the hotel had drivers that they used who were fast, communicative and reliable. If you are after a quiet retreat in nature then the location is ideal.
