Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The double room was very small for a couple. If we were staying longer I would have upgraded to a larger room
The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful.The location was ideal for us as we had an early start (5:30am)at the railway station the next morning We only stayed one night and due to our early start we were unable to try their breakfast.

Needed paint and new carpets in the corridor. But room was fine.
The room was clean. Spacious enough. Warm because of the efficacy of the shoji screen on the window. Staff were friendly and efficient.

the room was kinda hot with the bath steam and the heat conditioner (i came here in winter) and we wanted to open the window but it couldn't be opened. and i think there was no cold air conditioner so it was so hot. the room was comfortable but can barely fit 1 medium luggage and 1 small luggage. they also don't have any self service laundry machine.
it is so so close to the nearest station and there's also another bus stop near the hotel. the room and bathroom were comfortable. they have the luggage service where you can send your luggage to your home after your stay.

Could use a bit of renovation. The windows had wooden screens to keep out the cold but they weren't very effective, and it made the room really dark.
Conveniently close to the train station. The building is a bit old but fine for a business hotel. The room was comfortable enough, nothing special.

The hotel is old/dated. The room is a bit cramped. The air conditioning in the room did not work (or was it deliberately off since it was late November? The air conditioning is centralized.), so I had to open the window to let in some cool air.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Aizuwakamatsu Station. Since I arrived before check in, they kept my luggage for me. The room has a TV, refrigerator, kettle, dresser, facial tissue. Pajamas, toothbrush, slippers, and towels are provided. Bath salt, hair brush, razor are available at the reception.

Some people do not like this hotel as it is... old. This is a clear case of ageism ;-) Hotel is old, but well kept. It is, simply said, frozen in time. Even breakfasts are the same for as long as I remember....

The hotel is very old style and the facilities are old too. Although my room is non-smoking but can feel smoking smell. Also have bad smell in the toilet. The air conditioner was not working too.
The restaurant is nice and provide a good view of the city.

Nothing really. Being an older bulding, the ventilation wasn't the great but the windows open.
Friendly staff, great views, air-con, comfy, clean and good amount for space. It is an older building so the furniture is dated and surfaces are a little worn.

A bit old/ran down but all fine!
Location was nice and convenient location. Hotel itself is a bit old(fashioned) but is has its charm. Small room, but all fine for the trip. The price is low so can’t complain!

Air-conditioning not working. Room is a bit old and the AC temp is controlled by buttons on the bed's headboard. tried several times to make it work..Just opened the wondow to let freah air in the room .
3 minute walk from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station. Accessible to both JR and Aizu Lines. Highway bus stop at the back of the hotel.. In the central area, going to all the attractions is a breeze.

The hotel is very handy for the train station and local buses. Part of a chain, it's more functional than luxurious, but perfectly clean and comfortable, with friendly and efficient staff. Recommended for anyone staying in Aizu Wakamatsu - which has its fair share of sights - for a day or two.

The small size of the rooms. With the suitcases which we had for our long trip, it was exceedingly tight with two people in a room. (For fairness sake, I must say that the hotel may have larger rooms than the ones we could book, but they may not have been available at the time).
The buffet breakfast was splendid.
