Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Within three weeks we stayed twice at the hotel. The first time 5 nights the second two nights. The hotel and everything about it were excellent on our first visit. Also the second one was very good but there were twofaults about it. 1. The light in the bathroom wasn't sufficient. The hotel service was very kind and tried to fix it, but with no success. . The Eventually they soplied us with an extra lamp which almost solved the problem. The service man was extremely nice and really tried his best. small problem was that when we returned to our room in the evening our room was not fixed. We complained and it was 2. The seconddone immediately Eventually they soplied us with an extra lamp which almost solved the problem

Room and bathroom had lots of space, skincare products provided were great, amazing view from our room, helpful staff, bus shuttle to airport was key to us choosing this hotel. Very close to shibuya station and shibuya crossing.

Nothing really - although we struggled to find the hotel from Shibuya station on our first night - the station is massive!
Very good hotel, very comfortable. We left our passports behind (!) and the staff did all they could - so we were reunited (with our passports) without any fuss

I did not see any hotel activities. Would be nice to have an opportunity for a tea ceremony, flower arrangement, cooking class or meditation class etc that I have seen that other hotels offer. Otherwise I cannot think of anything that I didn't like.
The rooms were very quiet and the view form the window was outstanding. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom products were lovely. The breakfast on the lobby floor was really tasty and better than the executive floor one. We had a breakfast of fresh orange juice, waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon every morning. We had dinner one night in the Japanese restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent.

No kids allowed in pool, as it was part of the fitness center.

Booking.com's part in our original booking. We booked a room for 4 people, using Booking.com feature with 4 people icon. When we got to checkin the hotel told us there were no rooms for 4 people. We had to book another room at checkin, making our stay twice as expensive. We were also not told by either Booking.com or the Cerulean at checkin that there was a hot tub fee, even though we did not have a hot tub available to us. It is a Japanese standard tax. We were told at checkout!

2 Minor things - 1: at check out there was a small discrepancy with the invoice that needed to be amended which ought to have been a simple thing to rectify, but took 25 Mins. 2: the pool is too warm, so either the pool should be cooler or they ought to have a cold plunge / pool. Neither would prevent us from staying again.
Great location, walking distance to great restaurants and train station, super central. Very nice staff. Excellent room, very good shower and bed and view. Very good gym Outstanding buffet breakfast Will def stay here again.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous. It’s beautiful, the amenities are top notch and the staff goes above and beyond to meet your every need. The location is wonderful within a few blocks of Shibuya station. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone traveling to Tokyo.
