Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe room was quite small, which wouldn't have been a big problem, but the bathroom was truly tiny. I had to open the bathroom door when i sat on the toilet, so my legs could fit (but I'm a relatively tall guy, so this may not be a problem for everyone).
Helpful and kind staff, clean and modern rooms, really good location, easy check-in and check-out, good breakfast. Good value for money.

JapanThe room did not justify the relatively high price (even during the high summer season - Obon). I have stayed at one of this company’s hotels before with a positive memory. However, on this occasion, I was disappointed by the very stark conditions. The room is very small & bare. There is only one single room light, bright & glaring, with no adjustment possible. The bathroom, ridiculously cramped even by Japanese standards. No room to store anything more than a toothbrush. The bath itself was the smallest I have ever encountered. Definitely not suitable for anyone of above average, Japanese size. Anyone larger than me would risk becoming wedged in! There are almost no extras in the room beyond the basics (hairdryer, kettle, television - very small). Not even a cup! No luggage stand nor space to store much. The single bed was also about as small as it gets. Overall, a very cheaply constructed, functional & unappealing hotel, designed purely to generate profits.
The location is the main positive point here, very close to the station.

Hong KongThe hotel facilities are bit old but the status is still acceptable, given that the room price is reasonable.
The location is very close to Hakodate JR station and just walk around by 5 minutes to arrive. Many good restaurants surrounding to the hotel. It is not far from fish market and walk around within 15 minutes to arrive, suitable to visit the fish market in the early morning. The room space is fine which is standard to general hotel in Japan.

JapanTiny bath and toilet, smallest I've ever had. I literally couldn't sit in the bath, it was so narrow. The Family Mart toilet was more comfortable than the washlet. Very negative rating for the bathroom facilities.
Very convenient location, less than 5m from station. Staff were professional and polite. Ice machine was easy to find. Charging cables included in the room. Pillow was much more comfortable than in most Japan hotels!

AustraliaBathroom is small and ceiling is low. Bed is a bit stiff and the pillow is not comfortable. Small TV is string on the only small table in the room and take up too much space. This TV could have mounted on the wall to allow full use of the table.
Hotel is quite close to Hakodate station. Everything is very standard, typical of a small hotel use by workman staying the night. I can open my window to allow fresh air. The view is quite nice. The room is small but enough for one person. It is a good value for money.

JapanMy stay was good, but unfortunately the room was dirty: the walls of the room were dirty and the bed head was pretty dirty. Also the bathroom was not clean and with other people's hair. I generally don't care about changing sheets and cleaning while I am in the room. They told me I had to let them in on the 4rth day of my stay. So I did, and they did not change the bed sheets, only the towels. They took the garbage, but it was like nobody did anything in the room. Why did they have to come in on the 4th day if they wanted just to change the towels, something they can leave on the door? In other hotels when they come in, they clean the room, change the bed sheets and put everything in the original places. Anyway, this time I am not happy about the cleanliness. Especially with all the Covid stuff... There was a bathtub, but for me it was definitely impossible to enter, I guess only Japanese size, so I could not have a bath. Also the pillow was too soft and small for me.
I don't like high places, but they gave me a room on the top floor. The view was good though, so I did actually like it. The hotel is very close to the station, and the morning market. It is easy to go everywhere.
