Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandNot cleaning room if you not attach sticker at the door, but at least should change the towels and waste bag everyday (other hotel they hanging towels and waste bag at the door). It will be better if there is air purifier in the room.
Location is good, near umeda station and airport bus limousine stop (Hankyu hotel). There are many shops, department stores and restaurants nearby. The room is big, more space for 2 persons. Restroom is also good, feels comfortable. It is quiet even if the hotel is next to railways because soundproof.

AustraliaThe window had opaque glass which made the room feel smaller. Last time I stayed here I had a lovely view over the Hankyu railway line, it is a shame that you can’t pay extra for a view room, which I absolutely would. Kind of feels like you’re getting ripped off when people who are paying the same price have a lovely outlook.
Great location the rooms are nice nicely suited to a single traveller.

United KingdomThe room wasn’t as clean as other hotels I had stayed in. There was a toenail clipping on the floor, and lots of dirt, dust etc. down the side of the bed.
The location was brilliant, so many excellent shops and restaurants nearby and well connected. Staff were kind and allowed us to leave our bags. Check in and check out very straightforward. Nice to be able to order breakfast to the table rather than queuing up for a buffet breakfast. Water fountains available too.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast is below average and service in restaurant is average. There is no spread, limited to 5 prefixed options . Out of four days we paid for Breakfast, we only went once. I would suggest not to include Breakfast as part of your room booking. Umeda has multiple restaurant choices and cuisines. TV in the room is antique 32 inch and does not support any OTT APP like Netflix. Expect the chain to provide minimum services commonly available rather than cutting the corners.
Great location and cleanliness!

ThailandGreat location with easy access to multiple metro stations and plenty of nearby restaurants. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the room is well-equipped. Room size is typical for a hotel in the city center.

ThailandThe hotel is quite pricey for what it offers, and children are charged as adults, which can significantly increase the cost for families. The location is also a bit inconvenient. Since the surrounding area is large, it requires a long walk just to get there from both JR and metro stations. The nearby station is a major interchange, and navigating it was confusing. The shower setup wasn’t great, as it was hard to avoid getting the floor wet even with the curtain. I also found it a bit uncomfortable that there was a light panel outside each room that lit up only when the key card was inserted—this seemed to indicate whether someone was inside, which felt a bit intrusive. Shower caps were not included with the amenities available in the lobby. I had to ask the front desk to get one, which seemed unnecessary. Additionally, the nail clipper could be borrowed but had to be returned after use. Considering it could be contaminated by other guests, it didn’t feel hygienic to reuse it. Staff service was average—not particularly friendly or attentive.
The room was clean and functional, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good rest. There was a water dispenser on my floor, which was very convenient and helped save money on bottled water. Pajamas and basic amenities could be picked up by yourself in the lobby, which was a nice self-serve option.

Loved the location. Super close to the train Station which is connected to everywhere in Osaka. The lobby smelt wonderful! The staff was super nice and helpful. They helped us with our room and ordering food due to our lack of Japanese. Will 100% recommend

AustraliaEach time I re-entered the room and put my room card into the slot, the TV came on at the hotel home page. That was mildly annoying. There was no view from the window.
Like most 3 or 4 star Japanese hotels, the room was compact but adequate. Comfortable bed, good bathroom, excellent location, helpful staff, quiet room.

United KingdomMy non-smoking room had been smoked in by a previous occupant (but the hotel staff moved me without any questions or fuss). It is convenient to have a breakfast option but, for the price, it was surprisingly basic and limited.
Umeda is a good transport hub and restaurant district, and the hotel is conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff.

United StatesLocation was not easy to find, even by Google Maps & Maps Me. Also too close to the train tracks, so a bit noisy, & much more expensive than other boutique hotels of the same quality with better locations in Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima.
I had requested a quiet room away from the elevator, but on arrival discovered the room faced the noisy train tracks. However, the staff responded by moving me to a much quieter room that was perfect. A young man that wore glasses, spoke perfect English & went by the name of Loui I believe was most helpful. He went above & beyond to assist me in acquiring a bus ticket to the airport that ultimately saved me an enormous taxi fare. He clearly understands customer service & is the type of employee that you want on your management team, so give him a promotion, a raise, or both, as well deserved. Thanks!!

BulgariaHotel was good. Room was a bit small for double room, but I was solo traveler and it was a good fit for me. Having in mind that hotels in general have small rooms in the bigger cities, can’t say it was a huge issue for me. I would really loved if staff was speaking good English, instead of us using translate.
