Because I understood what I was booking, more of a family home environment.. everything was fine. I think if you are someone looking for a hotel experience you may not like this place as much.

So I always preface my reviews with the fact that I travel around the world to stay in hostels, So HI! I'm Haze's Hostels on YouTube. Because of that my reviews are in depth, I really loved how welcoming and REAL this hostel is. It's ran by a japanese couple and it's a home plus bar. The bar is very cute and adorable.. and the couple they are just the SWEETEST. The hostel side of things is one of the cheaper options in Tokyo and because of that it does seem to always have a lot of travelers so if you are looking for a place that has a lively environment where you can talk to others this is a good one. Really, if you want a vibe like you're staying at a family friends house - that's what this is like. The spaces are small and well lived in. It's not like a franchise hipster hostel.. it's someones home. So if you are okay with that you'll love this place. The roof top was BEAUTIFUL!

The hygiene was a bit bad. It was ok for a few days.

The accommodation was very cute. It feels like living in a family home. You get a code for the door and can come and leave anytime which was amazing.

Basic beds, no towels, shower space not in great conditions. Also 15-20 min from closest metro/train station.

Really nice owners. Comfy bed and a really nice rooftop with good views. Out of the way of main tourist areas but close to public transportation. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed mattresses were very thin you could feel the frame of the bunk beds through them but if you don't mind it you can get a good night's sleep.

The owner was very kind and spoke enough English for a comfortable check in and check out. There were also fairly large shelves in the bedroom for everyone to put their luggage and manage their items.

You get what you pay for - showers are not the cleanest etc, but I have no major complaints.

Towel was extra charge 300¥. Shower heater doesn't have english instructions, it kept shutting off all the time.

There was one restroom on the floor I stayed at, which both women and men can use. When I used it, the toilet seat was lifted up, which meant someone used there in a standing position. I felt bad to enter there without shoes.

- Only 1 shower room and 1 toilet so we have to be in the queue to use it. - the toilet is not clean since gentleman and lady have to use the same one.

- the view from rooftop can see Tokyo tower - the staffs are very nice - you can use common area; kitchen to cook, living room to watch TV and to eat - to talk with owners there. - Staffs are really really nice and helpful - The price is reasonable

Only one shower. Very bad sewer smell coming from the bathroom sink on the 1st floor. Starting to look worn down. Very thin matters. Mostly locals staying.

10 min walk from JR or Metro. 1min to bus station. Quite cheap for Tokyo standards. Seemed pretty clean.

There is a general policy of light-out after midnight, for all lounge areas. Not that guests have to sleep, but the expectation is that they will go to their bunk and hang out there for the rest of the night. Something to be aware of if you're a late night person.

A comfortable, homely guest house with a great roof area for hanging out and taking pictures of the Tokyo Sky Tree. The owner and staff are present on the property and generally available to help with questions you might have. The property is furnished like a home, so can do your own cooking, and there is at least one convenience store located nearby for ingredients. The second floor lobby is comfortable for hanging out outside of your bunk, though in Summer the rooftop lounge area is also quite comfortable.

It is really unsanitary and even taking a shower is a danger to your health. Opening the fridge gives you 'the walking dead' vibes and its not a big chore to clean the place every day. It says including kitchen and bathroom, but honestly you can not use them. The beds are unsturdy and the mattresses really thin. Climbing inside the bed on top, will feel like the bed is in an earthquake and falling apart. We do have curtains per bed though.

The hosts are so friendly and helpful.
