Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Very nice hotel. The room was larger than most I've stayed at in Japan. The location is good. Walkable from the train station and the surrounding area has plenty of restaurants, shopping and conbini. The castle ruins park and shrine are a 5 minute walk away. No problem communicating in English with the front desk.

You need to have more food for westerners at breakfast such as toast, muesli, yoghurt and fruit.

The room is bigger than your usual Japanese hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They do not have an onsite parking however, they collaborate with a number of parking lots around them so it was easy to find parking and pay at the hotel. The room was spotless, the breakfast buffet was well worth it. They have sashimi and freshly cooked tempura fish, veggies etc. Great value for money.

My room facing another building. There is no view. The lobby space is shared with Starbuck. Not much of hotel guests common area to relax. No coin laundry machine.
Room is renovated and specious. Even though the hotel building is old.

Strangely one of the "neighbours" were quite loud (in after midnight hours) and in the room above ours there was also a lot going on but fortunately in the morning..
The room was big, nice, comfortable and so were the beds. Bathroom was spaciously compact, very clean and nice. Every day you find a bag with a new set of towels and products at your door. The staff is very kind, attentive and helpful :) All in all a great experience and we liked it a lot and will gladly stay here again.

No laundry facilities and air conditioner did not work below 25 degrees so it was a quite warm and had to leave the window open to cool down but then mosquitos got in.
Big spacious room, comfy bed and design of the room is really nice. good location walking distance to everything

Very friendly staff, large and comfortable room, excellent breakfast for about 1500 yen. Starbucks on the ground floor (basically in the lobby) serves good coffee.

Royal Morioka is a business style hotel; very clean and efficient. Breakfast offered many options. We rented a car at the station and drove out to Koiwai Farm to eat ice cream!

The hotel was in the heart of Morioka’s cinema street. Close and walkable to the sights and amazing cafes. Great customer service.

Nice hotel in central Morioka (10min walk from train station). Refurbished rooms with nice interior and very comfortable beds. Would stay again if I go.

The smoking room was in the hall outside our room. We could smell some smoke in our room, but it wasn't overpowering. The rates were high, but probably to be expected because of Obon.
The room was very pleasant with a good set up. It was nice to have a sofa and the bath was larger than some business hotels. Starbucks on the first floor was convenient for breakfast.

Location is bit away from Moriowa station still it is walkable or local buses available.

Because of a combination of obon week and late booking, we paid DOUBLE the usual fee. Booking the same room the following week would have been much much cheaper and I never like when hotel prices fluctuate THAT much.
Very clean and comfortable hotel in the center of Morioka.
