Location was perfect for day trips to Nara and local trips around Kyoto. There is also a bus stop near by. The Japanese style room was very comfortable and the staff were great, particularly the lady that checked us in. There are free umbrellas to borrow.

Maybe the futons are on the hard-ish side but no bug deal, honestly.. I slept like a baby anyway.

I loved the position, sooo close to the station and just beside the amazing Higashi HonganJi. The common spaces where cosy and clean, the rooms and toilets/showers always soo clean. Staff is super friendly and nice. I had an amazing stay. I'm so happy I booked here!

My favourite hostel in Japan. The staff are amazing, especially Emiko. They truly create an inclusive sociable space for travellers to meet and feel at home. The kitchen and living room were also fantastic, truly felt like home. This is certainly one of those hostels where you could spend weeks.

Located in a tourist area, near by a big temple. Convinced shops and cafe, restaurants are all around. Slippers inside, very clean, good kitchen with all appliances to cook, big fridges, sofa, guitar, coffee, tea, good locker room, a bed is very spacious, mattress and pillow, bed sheets are good. Air con, a mirror are in the room. Light, charging space, take your adapter or Ask for at the reception. Extra charge for towels. Enough toilets and shower rooms. I even had a pleasure to take a bath on the first floor. They take care about the noise which is very important. Umbrellas also provided. Staff is super helpful and welcoming!!! Feels like a warm hug being there.

The ventilation of the bathroom could be better.

The location was great and only 7-8 minutes away from Kyoto station. The room was clean and staff was polite and helpful. I liked that there’s washing machine and dryer for use at a low price. Overall it’s a lovely stay with great value for money.

Kyoto Hana hostel is very near to Kyoto station but in a very quiet street. Common areas have good facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again

The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Especially when I checked out, the male staff and I had a brief and pleasant conversation and shook hands to say goodbye. Also, they have enough equipment for us to use. The location is very close to the Kyoto station and there’re many convenience shops nearby.

Private bathroom design was cramped and awkward. Pillow was flat.

Great location. Room was very spacious. Friendly staff fluent in english. Third floor wasn't very noisy unless people were talking in the hallway.
