Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Basically everything. Really nice staff, quiet hotel, but close to all the fun. Kareoke was fun on a rainy day.

I have been staying at this hotel my last few visits. I like it because it is close to the Higashi Shinjuku metro station. From there, it is convenient to get around. I requested for the same room I stayed the last time and the hotel was able to accommodate my request. The hotel room is large and has all the amenities, including a bathtub, sauna, karaoke, fridge, microwave and kettle. There also provide the full range of bathroom amenities. The staff were very helpful and there were English speaking staff around to help.

NetherlandsStaff doesn’t speak English which can be challenging sometimes. Although there’s a lot of tech and facilities certain things such as playing on music or movies on the TV (chromecast) don’t work. This is no dealbreaker however.
This is honestly a hidden gem within Shinjuku! I got an extremely spacious room plus sauna and massive hot tub for a bargain. And when I say bargain I mean that a room this size would be triple the price in “normal” hotels in Tokyo. The cleaning of the room was immaculate every day and amenities are being refilled DAILY. This place is a bit quirky as it is a love hotel but to me that only added to the charm of my Tokyo trip. Also, no noise can be heard from other guests so don’t worry if you are a light sleeper (such as me). Only thing I can say is: book book book!

AustraliaWould have liked more room in the fridge for personal store bought food. There was a vending machine for drinks which took up 85% of the fridge space.
The room was incredible. The staff re-stocked our fridge and toiletries daily. They provided everything we needed and high quality products. My skin was glowing!

Don’t let the reviews/location put you off. This hotel was in a fantastic location, near where we wanted to be. We prefer round here to centre of Tokyo, lots of bars and restaurants really buzzing vibe. We were apprehensive it being a ‘love hotel’ but it was great, had loads of ameneties and little extras, rooms were spotless and staff were really friendly, even let us check in a bit earlier after arriving on an early long flight. Went above and beyond and it’s great value for money.

United KingdomHaving to give the key back every time we left was unnerving at first, although tbh you quickly get used to it and it's not a big deal at all. They don't enter the room unless you ask them to clean it. The screen over the window works great, but it really does keep all the light out so if you don't set an alarm you can easily sleep in! The food on room service that we tried wasn't great, but you're surrounded with places to eat so it's not really a big deal.
So it's a "love hotel" but it does cater very well to regular people staying on a normal trip. Many hotel rooms in Tokyo are small, but these were pretty big, with plenty of room for our 4 suitcases. They have a huge hot tub, a dry sauna, kareoke (with English songs included) that had actual microphones and a speaker system, soundproofing (for obvious reasons), blackout lighting...the list goes on. Yes, the hotel isn't _designed_ -per se- for regular tourists, but it's honestly great. Plus, housekeeping is any time of the day so if you have a lie-in no worries! Really liked this hotel.

United KingdomWe did get some sound from the street, even with the window closed.
The room is very large, and has separate toilet, a bathroom with a large spa bath, and a sauna room. There is a dressing room attached (not closed off), and the room has a sofa and coffee table. There is a karaoke setup, a large TV with multiple channels, and an excellent soundsystem with different types of music to choose from. There is a minibar, and a separate fridge for your own stuff. The hotel has an art deco style, and our room had one openable window.

AustraliaBed pillows were very thin. Immediate location is a bit ordinary.
Really big room for the location. Big spa bath and even a private sauna. Lots of freebies. Only a few of the staff spoke English but they were all friendly and we did not have issues. Don't worry about it being also a short stay adult hotel.
