Yukie and Kevin were excellent hosts and Yukie’s breakfasts were an unexpected delight. The house is set deep in exquisite countryside, surrounded by wooded hills. We visited Kyoto, both by train and by car, and also saw a local temple and tea plantation. Our hosts and other people in the small village couldn’t have been more helpful when we had some problems - they ensured we were able to continue with our trip. We would love to come again one day.

We absolutely fell in love with the Kizuna Guesthouse! The house is beautiful, so comfortable and cozy. The surroundings are stunning and peaceful, and above all, what a wonderful welcome! Yukie and Kevin were amazing hosts. They welcomed us so warmly and gave us lots of great advice, there is so much to see and do in the area. It was more than just a guesthouse, it was a true immersion in Japanese culture, thanks to everything that Yukie and Kevin shared with us. And last but not least, the breakfast prepared by Yukie was absolutely delicious! We stayed there with our two children and would have loved to stay longer, as we felt so at home. One thing is certain: if we’re lucky enough to return to Japan one day, we’ll definitely come back to the Kizuna Guesthouse!

This was SO NICE! Yukie and Kevin welcomed us at their home very warmly. This Japanese-British couple is amazingly welcoming, kind and nice to speak to. We spend the evening by chatting about various topic and it was very valuable even in terms of discovering Japanese culture. Also they are extremely helpful and ready to provide you ideas and information about your next travel plans in Japan. Strongly recommended to everyone. Yukie and Kevin made us so welcome in their home. We loved the quiet location with goats and hens outside and 2 beautiful house cats. The snuggy fire in the open plan living area was delightful. This was our first experience in a Japanese home, we wished we could have stayed longer. We were able to heat up a meal one evening and the other Yukie recommended an excellent local characterful restaurant. Kevin is a tour guide and also helped us organise activities in Kyoto.

This guesthouse is definitely special ! Yukie and Kevin created this amazing project around a 150 year-old traditional Japanese house. We directly felt like we were at home, they were both so welcoming and helpful (we were picked up at the nearby station and were driven to the house by car). The room was really comfortable and warm. The breakfast prepared by Yukie was just perfect and she adapted to my dietary restriction without any problem (I don't eat meat). They took the time to hang out with us in the living room and shared their experience and bits of advice on places to see in the area. I am beyond grateful to have found this special place near Nara and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to see a bit of Japanese countryside outside of the touristy places. Bonus point : their cats and baby goats are super cute !

The hosts were super nice! They were welcoming, friendly and they really made us feel at home :D They also gave us recommendations of things to visit and do in the area, which was very helpful because we were a little bit soon for the momiji peak. The guesthouse is a lovely and authentic traditional house in the countryside, near Wazuka tea fields and Gansenji Hydrangea temple. The pets (two cats and two goats) are super cute! The breakfast was amazing and perfect for a day of tourism! It was healthy, organic and it gave us a lot of energy! They organise events from time to time so we would love to come back soon!! :D

The owners, Kevin & Yukie, treated us like family members and made us have a pleasant, warm, and happy three nights. The breakfast is English style. It is delicious and nutritious. The eggs used are fresh eggs picked up in the chicken coop every day. It is super excellent! Kevin and Yukie recommend nearby private attractions, such as 岩船寺, 笠置寺 and和茶園, etc., all of which are impressive and satisfy the body and mind.

It is located in quite part of the town and very close to nature. The host - Kevin and Yukie - are very accommodating and suggested us off the track places to visit in Nara. My husband has slight cat allergy and he can sleep well at night without any problem. The English breakfast is amazing and they offered us home grown chicken eggs when we leave. Best place if you want to slow down your life and relax in nature.
