The host, Emiko is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and have the best beds we had during our whole trip through Japan. A bus stop and train station are nearby.

Very nice and spacious family room little off the the Gion quarter. The subway is close and serves as hub for visits more distant than one might walk. Emiko is a very friendly host! It was a nice retreat for our stay in Kyoto!

There´s no view from the window, it is more of a close space, comfy though.

The room is clean and confortable, I had some of my best sleeps of this trip. The facility owner Emiko is extremely friendly and caring.. the breakfast quality is a plus! I recommend all who stay to try it.

Really cute little Inn. Emiko and her family welcomed us very heartly. We felt like being at home while we stayed in their accommodation. I can really recommend this Inn, if you want to experience japanese kindness and hospitality!

Wonderful experience beyond words! The location is conveniently situated by the river so good for walks to the train station. It is within walking distance to a few shrines. The property has 3 rooms on 3 floors and owned by family. Rooms are spacious and have everything I need. I am impressed by the attention to detail. The bed is very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and efficient. I will definately come back to stay next time I visit Kyoto again.

The personal care from the host. The family is so helpful and welcoming. They were always making sure everything was ok. The Inn is very well located with 300 m of the train station. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom excellent .

This was my second time here. The hosts of this family-run small inn are so welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are really comfortable. The location is close to many major sights (museums, temples) and right around the corner from a train station if you want to go farther.

It would be great if the room were a bit larger, but then we’d have to pay more. We were quite happy the way it was.

The inn is beautiful, very clean, modern, and comfortable in a convent location. The breakfasts were great. The hostess, Emiko-san, was incredibly helpful and super-nice. Her mom was great as well. It was almost like being part of a family. We really enjoyed our stay.

Walking distance from the Kyoto station is a little bit far while lugging around a few suitcases. (About 20 minutes depending on your pace)

We have a lovely stay here. Emiko and her family were lovely hosts! The room was nice and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. The location is very close to the Keihan Main Line, which made it very easy to take the train to places like Fushimi Inari and Nishiki Market! Kiyomizu-dera is within walking distance as well as the Gion district. Various restaurants are nearby, in addition to two close Familymarts. We opted for the breakfast option and it was delicious! A different breakfast was provided each morning, and they were a great start to our day. Overall, Emiko's place made for a lovely home base as we explored Kyoto!

Fantastic, warm and kind hosts! They are so friendly and helpful. Emiko gave me directions and information when I told her my plans and also helped with up with a lift to the train station instead of getting the bus. The location is great - very close to the bus stop and only 15mins walk to Kyoto station.

I booked this property solo initially and then a friend decided to join me. The host allowed this to happen for an extra charge. Location is fantastic and the room was comfy, quiet and beautifully decorated. Water and snacks were offered on arrival. Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay in Kyoto. Thank you ❤️

Our stay at Kyo Anthu Inn was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness by Emiko, making us feel at home right away. The rooms were immaculate, , and provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The homemade breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Emiko and her mom Yoko went above and beyond to help us navigate the city, offering fantastic recommendations and helping us with reservations for local restaurants. The location was ideal, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood yet conveniently close to public transportation and major attractions like Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera. After a long day of touring Kyoto, coming back to this cozy and welcoming place felt like returning to a home away from home. Emiko and her father drove us to a restaurant and later to the Kyoto train station on the morning we left the city. She even walked us to the subway station on our first day out in the city. If you’re looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable Kyoto experience, Emikos place is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

A very minor thing, but the bathroom sink is inside the shower area, so in case you need to wash your hands shortly after taking a shower, you won't have a choice but to step on the wet floor.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

This accommodation is a great choice to visit Kyoto. Room is big and convenient, the breakfast is delicious and the hosts are super nice! The location is 5min by foot to the Shichijo Keihan Electric Railway station.

Emiko was the perfect host, kind and generous and offered great suggestions. The inn is in a great location just a 3 minute walk to the train station. It is easy to get to most places of interest using the train or bus. The room is quiet and comfortable, and had all the amenities expected. The breakfast was presented beautifully, a perfect meal to start the day with coffee.
