Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMix of authentic Japanese with modern comforts - the shower/tub combo was wonderful as was the view. The public and private baths were quite nice and we had a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.

The hotel provides the shuttle which is nice. The private onsen is a must. The dinner is a 8 course set menu and very tasty. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We can see Mount Fuji from our room , very satisfying.

United KingdomThe interior of the room was a bit dated, but it didn't bother us too much.
OMG, I loved it. Bathtub on the balcony with the view. The dinner was a fine dining experience, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we couldn't have the breakfast due to leaving early.

CanadaIt was a bit far from the main town. Shuttle buses and site seeing buses stopped running about 6pm. In order to get from the main town to the hotel after 6pm required a very long 1 hour walk or an expensive taxi ride
Property was very beautiful with a wonderful view of Mt Fuji. Room was spacious and the private patio hot tub was amazing. The private Onsen was excellent. Very good buffet breakfast. Free shuttle to and from the train station

United KingdomThe bed wasn't comfortable. Both my husband and I found it very hard. Your really need a car to stay here but luckily we had rented one. We did pay for a dinner and felt rushed and disappointed there was no choice, I would not get the half board.
The facilities for Onsen were great. My sons loved the private Onsen option. The best facial I had in my life was at this spa. Breakfast was great. We rented rooms with hot tub on the balconies which was nice. Easy to park our rental.

CanadaThe breakfast quality was not as good as the dinner, and I hope next time when I visit, they will also have free beer too, LOL. Also, maybe provide Yukata for the ladies to wear, it will provide a more Japan vibe to foreigners visitors like us.
Staffs were great in responding enquiries, answered all my concerns. Front desk staffs explained everything in details, great smile all the time. Hot spring were great, my family enjoyed every single private room and the public bath, and I really enjoyed the view of the room, we were lucky to be able to see Fuji San after checked in, but was unfortunate that it was overcast the next morning. Dinner was great, food was delicious, the wine were great. A really great relax night.

AustraliaNothing.
The view of Mt Fuji from room 610 was amazing. The hotel is only a short drive away from Oishi Park, the ropeway and Lake Kawaguchiko Station. If you’re staying here for more than one night, we recommend renting a car, using the shuttle or using public transport. We loved the complimentary ramen at 10:30 pm. We also loved the private onsen. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is really nothing we didn’t like about this location and hotel. We loved our stay and would stay again. Thank you to the staff for making our so wonderful!
