Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyVery simple but great, super friendly hosts. Pick Up from ferry was smooth. Breakfast was switching daily (one day european and one day japanese Style). You pay for staying in a place overnight that normally sees more day tourists. Very recommended.

IrelandWe only had a day so nothing too much jumped out at us. Would stay again if we return.
The double room was perfect for a few nights with the ocean at your doorstep. Air con worked well, comfortable futons and the shower did the job! It’s also only a few minutes from the beach, Bon’s Burgers for lunch and Izakaya Maruni for dinner. The hostel also offers dinner. The staff were very helpful and processed a partial refund when we had to leave due to typhoon. The pickup service from the port was very handy and we loved the dog!

ItalyBreakfast was included but mainly catered for Japanese customers. However, it was interesting to taste what local usually have...
Wonderful staff, always willing to help before and during our stay. We had a problem with the inter island boat connection and had to buy a new ticket to Naha instead of moving to Aka island. Free pickup and dropoff at the ferry terminal was also appreciated

Germany-
I was very happy with the accommodation. It was very welcoming and clean. I was even picked up at the harbour and driven there again. A really great service. The rooms and the decor of the house offer a great traditional experience. The accommodation is also just a 3-minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches (Aharen Beach). It was simply marvellous.

TaiwanThe aircoditioner was a bit noisy, in paticulat in this super quiet environment. I think an optional fan would be a great addition the the room.
Very fruendly owners, who offered a free pick up from the port. The breakfast was also good, Japanese style and tasty. This is a remote island, but all facilities were very clean and tidy.

Spainyou can easily hear noises from the next door room or lobby, but people use to behave when it's bed time.
location, staff and their lovely pets, relaxing and laid-back environment, futons were quite comfortable. At night, where most of the tourists have returned to Naha after spending the day at the beach, the village is super quiet and you can take a walk around the village, it won't take you more than 10-15 minutes. This little island it not the luxury resorts type, and better off this way to keep its essence. If you like more authentic and laid-back experience, this is a great accommodation option.

SwedenWe had an amazing 4 nights here. The location was amazing, very close to Aharen beach. The staff was very kind and helpful. They had the cutest little pomeranian, Mugi, who welcomed us at the door every time we return from the beach. All of this gives Kamekamehouse a very personal feel.

SwitzerlandBeds were uncomfortable, you have to play to get the good spot.
The host are very attentive even the ones who don't speak English, it's great to be received with such natural kindness, also great that they pick you up and drop you off at the port. They provide with a good Japanese breakfast to start your day. Facilities are clean and have air conditioning which is very much appreciated. Location is just perfect, Aharen beach its a paradise and Its only 3 minutes away. I rented a electric kick Scooter to see the other beach, and even tho the scooter was expensive and don't have much power it was absolutely worthy, I would recommend to bring your own snorkel set to see the turtles in tokashiki beach.

United KingdomDinner as an optional extra was a lot more expensive when booking in advance. Best to add it on when you arrive (or take the local restaurant tips).
Excellent affordable accommodation near Aharen Beach (less than 5 minute walk). Shuttle service was great and staff shared recommendations for local restaurants. Staff very accommodating and changed things around so I didn’t have to move rooms during my stay (which is what I had to book). Use of shower facilities after checking out was a bonus!
