Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
Excellent location, quick walk across the bridge to Kyobashi Station which is on the loop line and has direct trains from Kansai as well. Stored our luggage for us between two 2 night stays. Replied quickly to email questions . Helpful staff. Nice rooms

When I come to the hotel after an Exkursion, I found my clothes on the floor. But I left my clothes on the bed. I don’t think the stuff threw my clothes in the floor intentionally but nevertheless it was not okay.
A good location close to the Kyobashi station. A very polite and correct service if the front desk

It was what we expected when we booked.
Large hotel with all the services, I'd expect of a hotel of this size. Our room had a great view of the city. Breakfast was substantial with lots of choice. Location very convenient for JR orbital and metro lines. Walking distance from Osaka Castle. Recommended this for a touring the city.

The hotel is located in a less touristy area, so if you want nightlife or shopping you will need to take a train. I actually think it's not too bad, but it is something to consider if you are wanting quick and easy access to that sort of entertainment. I was disappointed that the spa and open bath were not included in the price.
The hotel is very beautiful and well kept. The design is a little bit retro, maybe some might think it old fashion, but I thought it was very nice. The rooms are more modern looking than the rest of the hotel. We had a room on the 22nd floor and had a nice view of the city. There is a large spa and public bath that costs a little extra; also there is a FamilyMart located right outside of the hotel. I thought the price was very good for a room at a hotel such as this.

Breakfast, too expensive. Variety soso only. I like the fruit juice best. Also, there is no room service. Why?
The bath areas should close in a later hours eg 1am.

We did not get a good advice from the counter when we told them we wanted to go to Osaka castle. We only realise we could do through a short cut via the bridge to station.

The bathroom door opened the "wrong way" for me.... but I'm weird. The bathroom consistantly had a slight sewage smell to it - faint, but we have sensitive noses.
Staff were accomodating for our request for softer pillows and helping us arrange a taxi to the airport. 24 hour convenience store on the first floor makes up for the lack of vending. Great city views. On the 22nd floor, we were far above the city noise and could sleep with the window open a bit, which was nice.

The beds were so hard that we woke up with back pain and the covers were too thick. We asked if they could change this and the staff told us unfortunately not. The room was small and there was only a small cupboard to store things, we were missing hooks for hanging things. Last time when we were there we had a comfortable bed and a better equipped room. Guess we were unlucky this time...

Great buffet breakfast food and room -- plenty of room for everyone. Lots of variety of foods. Very good WiFi and fast internet. Nice view of Osaka from our room and breakfast room. American-style washcloth towels provided in bathroom.
