For only 2 people the cost is a bit steep compared to sleeping options around. However, the house has space (and beds) for four people.

Breakfast is already in the fridge when you arrive in this colourful, cosy house.

You have to pay cash on arrival which was not specified anywhere. There is no wifi for the house so you have to hold your phone up to the window by the seven seas across the back who also runs this place, frustrating! The check in/room instructions are cute but brief and quick, not much English so we had no idea how to use the stove etc. There are no instructions in the room for the room, appliances, who to contact with issues, or any info for the area, what to do, see, where to rent bikes etc. the island even puts out a pamphlets with some of this but none here. Beds are fold out floor beds but are very comfy. There was a bit of mold on a couple curtains but otherwise very clean. Coffee was instant and not great quality.

Comfy clean little house, plenty of room For two! Not sure how bigger group would go once beds are folded out. Bathroom was very snazzy and roomy, pink toilet room, 3 areas. Nice location near port, bike hire, food, and park with mountain view on one side. Nice breakfast supplies, toast and homemade jams! And lots of coffee supplies compared to none or very skimpy of previous accomodations. Easy check in and out, just drop key off. Brough fresh towels each day. Fold out beds but foam and comfy with nice comforters. Really cute little place! Really enjoyed our stay!

Not that we didn't like it and nothing to do with the house, but just be warned that everything on the island closes down very early!

Super cute little place with comfy futon beds on the floor (our new favourite thing after staying in Japan!) and a little kitchen so you could make breakfast. Free facilities to wash clothes which was a real bonus. Lovely host with lots of good tips about how best to enjoy the island.

This was a funky, bright, cosy little place to stay. We appreciated the simple breakfast supplies as most cafes do not open early or offer breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location-an easy walk to the ferry.

There is no wifi in the actual house, you will need to go to Yado Seven Beach for wifi.

We felt right at home at this little house right next to Seven Beach. It's in a great location and our host was so accommodating.

This place is awesome!!! You check in at the Yado Seven Beach hostel (another great place!) located next door and part of Mrs. Maroulla's House. The staff was so kind/friendly/accommodating & so hospitable. We were able to check in early as there were no other guest previous us. They showed us to our place and once you see the outside the inside was pretty awesome and so intune to the saviness of the art island. The house was amazing. They even offered their washer for use if needed. Definitely and highly recommend Mrs. Maroulla's House!!!

The futon mats were super soft - but it's our preference to have a firmer mattress. Still very comfortable. In relation to other places in Japan these accommodations seemed much more expensive - but the experience of the island is unforgettable and one not to miss, so it was worth it.

The attention to details, this house really felt like it was decorated by an artist. It is so cute and colourful, inside and out. The toast and jam was a nice touch especially since we had a very long travel day.
