Dinner options nearby were rather limited, and since it poured all day, we returned from exploring Nikko completely soaked and didn’t feel like venturing out again to search for restaurants.

We only spent one night here as a quick stop between Tokyo and Kanazawa. The hotel was clean, good value for money, and conveniently located with a supermarket just a minute’s walk away. The room was decent sized, but since we only needed a place to sleep, it suited us perfectly. I did wish we could have stayed longer. With just one afternoon to explore and most temples closing by 5 p.m., we focused on the World Heritage temples and shrines, skipping Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji. Nikko felt truly magical, and the rain only enhanced the atmosphere.

Breakfast was small but it was also for free and included. It filled me up for the first few hours and that’s all that matters.

I had an amazing stay here. It’s a minute walk removed from the station and the facilities were all modern and clean. There was tons of information about how and where to go. It was quiet at night, I didn’t experience any noise or so. And I had everything I needed from a hotel in Japan. The comfort of the place was excellent. You can’t find something like this in the West for this price… so the complainers need to start nitpicking less.

The hotel is located close to train station but far enough to avoid crowds. Breakfast was nutritious and enough to start the day. It has microwave, ice box and locker for lugagge. English speaking staff and convenience store is one block away.

The one chair in the room could have used a pad. 10am checkout seemed a little early. The bathroom had a little stale odor. But nothing that really detracted from what was a good value.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the pick-up for city/tourist buses. There is a grocery basically across the street. The room was simple but very clean and fairly big for Japan. The breakfast was very simple, but is was a nice unexpected add-on. The staff didn't speak much English, but they were friendly and helpful. It was a great value for the price.

Nearby the station, new structure nice inside and very tidy. A wonderful surprise the good breakfast offered in the morning till 8.45. Excellent also the welcome and the help in booking a wonderful dinner really near the hotel, a real japanese authentic experience: without their reservation it would not have been possibile! And very helpfull today in assisting us after we have left the hotel: they found in our room an important object my son has left there. Really appreciating they let us know immediatly!

The hotel offers only the bare minimum and feels slightly worn out, with little to no effort put into decoration or design. Noise isolation is almost non-existent. The photos make it appear nicer than it actually.
