Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandAll of the rooms are smoking rooms, which means you will be greeted with the smell of smoke. The room had an air purifier, but it still didn't remove the smell. You just had to get used to it. The toilet also had a strange smell throughout our entire stay (including when we checked in, so we know the smell wasn't caused by us). Some things in the room are a bit dated and worn down, so some touch-ups could be good to make the room look nicer. The worst thing was that the bathroom had black mould around on the ceiling. This poses a health risk.
The room can be booked for multiple consecutive days without needing to check out or move your bags. You can stay at this love hotel (yes, it is a love hotel) exactly the same as you would a regular hotel. On the TV, you can order a free breakfast and additionally get one more free item per person. The room was well-stocked with amenities including tea and coffee, as well as toothbrushes, razors, soap, shampoo, bath salts, and more. It was a very pleasant experience overall. There may have also been some free things in the lobby, but I didn't try those. The room was mostly clean, and there were no stains on the sheets. My favourite thing about this room was the price, with it being the cheaper per night than all other accommodations I stayed at, despite having the most things in it.

CanadaWe had friends come over after a night of drinking since they were far too drunk to go home on their own. We were told they had to leave immediately, or they would charge the room double. We were not being noisy or rude, it was simply an issue of number of people.
They had beautiful rooms withspa baths available, as well as complimentary bath salt to improve the experience. They also have specialty baths you can purchase, such as honey, milk, wine or sake! We loved the food available and the staff were always helpful and polite. We extended our stay multiple times since we loved the location!

JapanThe bath area should have atleast a space to hang towels. Someone went in during our breakfast and was quite awkward and scary knowing people can enter even if the door is locked. I would really suggest a third door lock.
Food is awesome. Staff is quite friendly and accomodating. Was quite surprised that the bath tub have a built in Jacuzzi.

AustraliaOnly downside was the WiFi didn’t work
The rooms were so big! Bathroom was amazing, massage chair, room service from the tv, staff had a translator for English speaking guests and they restocked the room everyday! We had a great stay here, they offered so many services and you could smoke in the rooms so that was a massive bonus!

New ZealandThis is a very small issue and is more of a fault of the architect , there was zero sunlight able to enter the room which made waking up naturally very difficult.
The BEST hotel in Osaka! The staff were incredible and even noticed a small detail upon our arrival. My partner had a Hello Kitty bag, and the lovely lady at the front desk (presumably the owner?) Greeted us days later with a Hello Kitty gift! Made us extremely emotional to have such an attentive experience and this small gesture made the trip to Osaka phenomenal. The amenities downstairs were beyond expectations and the room and other facilities were astonishing!

New ZealandThe rooms smelt very heavily of smoke which was not indicated that they would be smoking rooms on the website. The location was undesirable, with nothing really around. We stayed one night of the 6 we booked and then checked out for another hotel
The room was very spacious.

AustraliaThe pillows were quite firm so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep and a little bit of a walk from the station but nothing crazy. Other than that it was amazing
The rooms were big and the bathroom was spacious. The staff were also very helpful when we needed something.

AustraliaWasn’t cleaned thoroughly as it was dusty and bathroom floor was wet. I also didn’t like how far the train station was, which made it inconvenient to travel.
I liked the music playing from the ceiling and the red lights.

Best hotel ever if you plan to go there in couple. Very clean, spacious room, you can go whenever you want out and the cleaner will come during this time and will never disturb you while you are in the room. Also very easy to order food from the tv and very tasty. Fast service.

JapanDoesn’t bother me but staff doesn’t speak English and aren really there for you to ask tourist advice. Someone else mentioned it. A place to hang towels. Though I’m pretty sure if you call down they will give you a new set of towels. Or even bring them up. That’s standard service in these types of love hotels.
It’s a “love” hotel. The rooms are at least double the size of a regular budget hotel and the bathrooms are really big. And the hotel is in great condition.
