Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArgentinaThis is a massive hotel, and can be very crowded at times. Expect to wake up early for breakfast, or to queue for long time. Also if you want to do laundry, expect to spend lots of time waiting for your turn. Reception is messy, too many guest checking in / checking out, almost a nightmare. But don't be scare for these down points, the rest of the stay is great.
The bath are amazing, and if this is the reason why you are planning to stay, this should be enough to choose this hotel. Then, the breakfast is also amazing, the best in our trip in Japan so far. Buffet, and with as many options as you can imagine.

United KingdomNothing to not like.
Location very conveyor Kyoto Station. Many places of interest within a 30-40 minute walk. Close to shops. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful. Having the onsen to relax after a day a sightseeing or shopping proved to be such a bonus. Coffee, Matcha Latte and water (hot and cold) available from lobby. Free ice cream. Free ramen, hot and cold beverage every evening between 9 and 11pm if you want it. Free laundry (just need to pay for drier). Smoking room on 4th and ground floor.

The Onsen is amazing. Bigger than it looks on the picture and well worth it for the price of the hotel.

CanadaNothing, it was a great stay, and I will come back again.
The welcoming staff lovely. The first I met spoke to me in French, English, and Japanese! Very impressive. I spoke to another about the lunar eclipse. Breakfast was delicious and highly varied. The tatami mats everywhere were charming. The ice cream bar was a surprise treat, and the onsen was wonderful. The room was intriguing (hallway separated by door from room).

United StatesThe staff seemed overwhelmed with just the number of guests in the hotel. Always very busy in the lobby. There are also lots of children in the onsen, so it may not be the most quiet onsen experience.
Great value. We loved the onsen--the facilities for women were so gorgeous and spacious. In the spring they have complementary tea/dessert and ramen. In the summer they have complementary soba.

BrazilLocation is kind of weird, it is near everything (central station, big avenues, subway) but there is not much around the hotel (restaurant, atractions, kombinis).
Onsen inside the hotel was great to relax after a long day of tourism. We really liked the idea of walking around barefoot in the tatami. At first it was weird but ir grew on us. Good bed and shower

SlovakiaThere is only one thing. Massage chairs. But the problem are the people. We have been there for 9 nights. Chairs were avaiable maybe at 5am. Staff should work on some card system or maybe limit for using chairs for room (2people) 4x 15min interval daily. So other people could benefit from chairs too. There were people using chairs 1hour constantly. It is unfair.
Breakfast, place near the Kyoto station, onsen. I was there 3rd year in row. I will come again definitely.
