Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeRoom could have more space especially for larger luggage.
Room is clean and onsen facilities are great. Laundry and dryer machines are inside the onsen rooms which made laundry and shower convenient.

TaiwanOnly if the heating / air-conditioning could have worked better during this extremely snowy winter days.
The hotel is just across the JR & bus station, which makes it a perfect location to travel around both Hirosaki and other cities in Aomori. The breakfast is very good, with a wide variety of local dishes. The public bath is complimentary and a nice treat after a day’s trip.

SingaporeThe coin laundry area is located in the changing room of the onsen, so you will have very little alone time if you're just looking to wash clothes. Also, the machines do not have detergent; you need to buy packets from the lobby at 40JPY per packet.
Staff were friendly, and spoke a bit of English. They accommodated my request to receive an Amazon delivery for me while I went out sightseeing. The room was pretty clean, and slightly cramped, but that's the norm for a business hotel. The onsen is pretty accessible, and although it's not a true onsen, it serves its purpose well. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, sandwiching a bus terminal together with the JR Hirosaki station.

United StatesThe room is good even though it’s old, but when I drop something on the floor, I was shocked that it was very dirty under the bed. A Single Room seems too small for me, and I choose a Twin Room because of more space. The woman at check-out was not friendly, and she had arrogant attitude snd did not give hospitality and smile.
Onsen (large public bath) was very good. Breakfast was included, and it was very good. The location was excellent.

NetherlandsUnfortunately we had to book two single rooms since the rest was booked. Rooms are tiny. Bed is very hard, pillow is not comfortable. Breakfast is not good, not much choice, restaurant was smelly, loud talking guests, we ended up buying breakfast in the store
The location of the hotel across from the station is perfect. Hotel has a garage. Walkable distance to major attractions

SingaporeThere's no water cooler or free drinking water, although you can boil your own water with the kettle provided. The room was very small, so we found it hard to lay out our luggages. The bathroom ventilation could be better.
Location is very convenient. Just across the road from the JR station. The staff were very polite and helpful. There's a small hot bath on the 14th floor, with separate areas for men and women. The buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The bed was comfortable. Free self-service coffee from a coffee machine is provided at the lobby and it was a nice warm welcome when we arrived. The room temperature was just nice. The hotel gave us bottles of apple juice when we checked in and it tasted great.

GermanyThere is nothing bad to say, really. The location is very close to the train station, which is actually another plus if you travel with a lot of luggage. The only downside that I can think of is the view, which in my case was the train station.
The staff was incredible friendly, and the room was big (for Japanese circumstances) and quiet(!). There was an onsen in the building, and the breakfast buffet was great - especially if you like karage! Also, there was a coffee-to-go machine in the lobby for anyone that had to skip breakfast (like me). And free newspapers in Japanese and English.
