Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBreakfast is a joke. Like don’t even bother about it. All they have is some watery soup that has just salt and water. White bread and butter and some coffee. I do not understand why the hotel cannot even provide a single banana of some fruits or juice. It’s complete disappointment after paying so much for the room thinking the breakfast will be decent.
It was a good location and only minutes away from the station. Lots of eatery shops and convenience stores. Hotel was clean but rooms are super small. Barely have any room to keep bags, etc.

United States of AmericaThe bunk beds are a bit noisy and squeaky. It's very easy to wake up the other person in bed when getting in or out. I got sick and the rooms didn't have great ventilation, so I felt bad knowing I may have spread it. I do not recommend staying here if you are rowdy, snore loudly, or smell. Due to the small shared nature of the rooms, you would be better off staying at a premium capsule hotel.
The price is cheap. Because the shared rooms are small, you are less likely to have an annoying room mate. The Yamanote Line offers direct access to Shibuya, Harajuku, and Shinjuku which would otherwise be over priced to stay at. Ikebukuro a great city in Tokyo with all of the charm of a small less crowded Akihabara without as many annoying tourists. They have a pretty good café that also serves free breakfast, which is simple toast and soup but isn't needed for the low price. Out of all the Hostels I have been to in Japan, this one is probably my favorite.

AustraliaIt felt a little musty and old. Did trigger my hayfever a bit.
Look, I will be honest. The staff and facilities were BRILLIANT but the room was a little lacklustre. Fine for one night but I wouldn't like to stay long term. If you know Ikebukuro, it will be easy to find but might be hard for those new to Tokyo. I didn't get to take advantage of the onsight Cafe but it looked really good! Friendly place to stay.

SingaporeThe room was stuffier than expected, likely cause there isn't much ventilation.
The location! It's great if you intend to be in ikebukuro a lot and gives you reason to explore the west side a little. While the west side does have a rep of being a bit sus, I think it's fine as long as you're alert about your surroundings.

AustraliaThe whole property is non smoking, but the shower curtain in the bathroom had a really strong smoke smell - I suspect a previous guest had tried to blow smoke through the exhaust fan, not the fault of the property. Other than that, the room was exceptionally clean.
Convenient place to stay on the west side of Tokyo, only a few stops on the Yamanote line from Shinjuku and Shibuya. Rooms are cozy and clean. Easy to find from the station, there is a 7/11 on the corner and money exchange in the lobby. There is a guest kitchen in the building and cafe/restaurant underneath, but there are so many great food options and bars close by as well, so it really caters for every travel budget. There are two buildings facing each other, the check in reception is the one opposite to the cafe building.

United States of AmericaWhen I think of "included breakfast" I think more than what was served. Usually, even for cheaper hotels, standard breakfast is orange juice, muffins, other pastries, etc. I was surprised at just toast and coffee.
The location was great! Close to the station and there's even a looot to do in the area walking distance! 20/10. The bed, verrry comfy.

PhilippinesThe WiFi needs some improvement. I keep getting disconnected and connection is slow when trying to watch youtube even in data saver mode.
The location is very convenient, just walking distance from the Ikebukuro station. Room was also great for 3 people. Pretty straightforward, 1 double bed and 1 single bed. We’re not looking for anything fancy and the room they provided was great for us. The employees are also kind. The food in the café was also delicious. We kept coming back for their fish and chips and their hamburger gratin specialty. We also love their breakfast, they have 2 daily soup and you can choose how many toasts you can eat.

Philippines- they don't have a common facility like microwave, if other guest would like to reheat their take away food. - takes about 10 - 20mins walk to the train station. - if you opt to take the limousine bus to the airport, it would take about 5-10mins walk to Metropolitan Hotel for the pickup or just take Uber.
- There's a cafe & restaurant at their annex bldg - room got working heater - they are able to assist me with the Yamato luaggae forwarding

SingaporeYou do have to go to the shared pantry to get your hot water as there's no kettle provided in the room. There's also no fridge in the room as far as I recall, altough I had no need for it.
Location is one of the best. Accessible to most metro lines and JR lines, and the limo bus services to the airport isn't that far away either. I've been staying here for most of my trips in Tokyo. The staff helped me resolve some issues I had with my booking stay (I was double booked) and I was very grateful for that. Thanks again!

GermanyGreat stay. It is clean and there is everything you need. The breakfast option consisted of soup, toast and jam as well as tea. Eggs and some sort of small cake were available per payment. The rooms are quite small though but that's normal for Japan.
