To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

ArgentinaThere was NO AIR CONDITIONING. We got lucky on not so hot days (max 33°C), but the room still was too hot even when there were 20°C outside. The ladder is a bit uncomfortable to carry luggage, be aware of it! A bit too pricey with those things in consideration.
The staff was nice. It's in a good place near Susukino, but a bit far from any transport.

JapanOur room didn't have AC, which is pretty typical of houses in Hokkaido, but that meant even with the fan on and the window open, our room got very warm. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of! Also, parking is listed on the page, but there are only a handful of spots. It was full when we checked in, so we had to pay for parking down the street anyway.
Great location and the staff was very kind and helpful!

Singaporenot for family!! dirty and stuffy room. No A/C. The owner asked us to open the window instead for hot summer! we decided to cancel after the first night and was charged 70% of the rent if I remember correctly. maybe better suited for young person who tries to save money. not for family!
