Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not much really. Exceeded expectations. Was expecting something extremely old and run down.
Location location location. And clean. Cheapest good accomodation in Central shibuya. 5 minute walk to the Scramble crossing.

There is nothing I didn't like. I would happily come back to stay again. Great hotel for the price and even better location to Shibuya station and Shibuya crossing.
Great location. Hotel was a bit dated but based on the location, convenient store right next door and great facilities on site, I cannot complain.

The room, even if it was comfy, looked quite old. The price is more based on the location than the quality of the room
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. You can choose between Japanese or a more Western style. The hotel has a laundry room (open from 8 to 22) with 2 washers and 2 dryers, and you can buy detergent on the lobby.

A bit of a walk from Shibuya station, though not bad. Wish the room is more well lit. The room felt compact and a bit old.

The room could have been a little bigger or spaced used a little better but thats a small thing.
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Liked that the location was central but just off the busy areas and not far from the train station.

Low airflow and room was very warm. Due to an issue with the AC, we needed to be supplied with a fan.

Excellent location if you want to stay in Shibuya. The street where the hotel is located is very quiet, but the Shibuya-chaos and scramble square is just a 8-10min walk away. Parco shopping center (with a floor dedicated to Pokemon, Nintendo and animes) and Hands are just 2-3min away from the hotel. In the other direction you can walk to Yoyogi park in 10min. Our room was bigger than others we have stayed at in Japan, I think we had a standard double room. There are two restaurants in the lobby. The breakfast was basic, but cheap and sufficient. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitly recommend the hotel if you want to stay in Shibuya.

Great location...the burger restaurant was really great. Hotel was clean & comfortable. Also had washer/dryer if you need it. Staff did not speak any English, but I used my translator. I would definitely go back.

Hotel is starting to age.
The Hotel is getting old but it is well kept, consider that restored Hotels nearby doubled their price.. Location is its main plus, perfect for moving around by foot or by public transports. Have stayed here many times, price is convenient.

A bit of a walk uphill from train station
Location quiet but accessible Family Mart is just downstairs 24/7 Mega DONKI is nearby for late night shopping 24/7 There are two western restaurants at the lobby which is very convenient if you are very hungry & do not wish to wait in line Helpful & friendly staff They assisted to store our luggage

Location is incredible if you like to be in the thick of things and right by all the shopping destinations - I did, but opinions were split in my party as it was very busy, so down to personal preference!
I was really happy with this choice - room was spotless and had everything we needed, staff were really helpful. Bed was comfy, I worried it (and the room) would be too small based on descriptions, but it was all fine. Saint Marc cafe next door is nice for coffee/breakfast and huge so no trouble getting a seat, there is also a convenient FamilyMart next door on the other side!

The bathroom could be cleaned better, especially wiping down the walls of the shower thoroughly. However, this wasn't a major issue.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, and there is luggage delivery service at the front desk (my travel partner, who stayed at a different and more expensive hotel, did not have this). The location is perfect, with plenty of good food options nearby, and it's easy to find from Shibuya Station. The room was small but fine for one person. I would recommend bringing a large suitcase that opens from the top, as fully opening it will be tight. Overall, an excellent accommodation for a week in Tokyo.
