The location is opposite of most tourist areas so you may have to walk a bit!

A simple but comfortable hotel, walking distance from the station and great for a quick trip to Shizuoka! They can hold your luggage before and after checkin/checkout which is very convenient and the rooms were plenty big for one person. They had a My Hero Academia collab while I visited which made it even more fun!

Hotel is really near to the JR. Shizuoka station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was asking the place to buy the luggage, 2 staff did help me to find the nearest shops. Room was nice and clean equipped with neccessary amenities.

Two short blocks from train station . Several restaurants and izakayas nearby. Hotel was a bit old but clean and well maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable.

Room was in a little need of repairof. Wall paper coming off in some places, bed had big hair in it. Fan in the bathroom was making a weird noise. Shower curtain was a little too small for the bath tub. Also there is a gap between the tub and the wall which hasn't been sealed. I noticed mold between the tub and the wall.

The staff were extremely friendly. Location is only a few mins walk from Shizuoka Station.

if you expect a sumptuous "western" breakfast, don't do it. If you can't eat Japanese dishes for breakfast don't do it. For me it was a pleasant breakfast experience - nice, not to high quality food, but very edible, rich in variations of Japanese food. A "western" breakfast was a spongy bread roll and a dry croissant option and sugary jam. as so often juice was out of a dispenser and sugary as well as coffee from the dispenser. long waiting lines for coffee. all in all a great hotel experience, I would always do it again.

There were no nonsmoking rooms available, so the room smelled a little bit. Cooling system was strong but hard to handle if you don’t know Japanese. But none of this I consider the fault of the hotel. It was our choice.

Location was TOP and staff were super friendly. Would stay there again, for sure.

The whole 12th floor smelled damp. I asked for a room change which was allowed. They said I could change to 3rd floor but I decided to remain in my original room (1201). The air, the blanket and pillow smelled damp. I even left the window and door open for a few hours but it did not help. Because of this, I will probably not go back to this hotel next time I am in town.

Bathroom had a slight old linens/mildew smell. Think laundry that hasn't been properly dried, but was otherwise very clean.

Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, but the location is conveniently located atop a 7-11. The Shizuoka JR station is about 5 minutes away by foot. Plenty of local eateries within a 15 minutes casual stroll.

The elevator always stops on the 2nd floor no matter what. It's not a major complaint, but I've seen much better handling of elevators in other hotels.

The room was great and larger than average for Japan, especially at the price point. Included breakfast was varied and delicious. Buffet style. The staff was very helpful when I had a problem with my luggage.

There isn't an on-site car park, the recommended car park was one or two streets, away. Our rental car was from Toyota-rent-a-car just opposite the hotel, and they allowed us to park there thankfully. There was some communication problems as the staff at check-in cannot speak English. Have a google translate app on your phone! Some of the toilet/bath amenities are placed on the reception counter, you can pick them up, but under the watchful eyes of the staff!

Location is very accessible, room size and twin beds are comfortable, breakfast buffet had Japanese as well as western food.
