Cleaning should be improved, quite a lot of stains on the furnitures as well as hair on the floor and bathroom.

Large room well equipped (microwave, fridge, kettle), very comfortable futons and blankets, large bathtub. Close to the train station.

The room key keychain was very big haha

Clean and spacious although quite old fashioned. They cleaned the room and changed the towels daily. The blanket was super warm and fluffy. The staff was nice and used google translate to explain everything. There was a 2L water bottle included. For such a low price I couldn't ask for more.

Not really a gripe with the hotel itself, but the location is okish if you plan to go to Nikko. Most restaurants nearby close early, around 4pm. The train inconveniently has you wait for 20 minutes in the middle station for your transfer.

It's a standard japanese style hotel with clean, rather big rooms. All necessary facilities are present, clean and tidy.

Japanese style means you have to sit on the floor. In the evening there’s nothing to do in town. No restaurants around for dinner. Only a Lawson and 7/11 in town, no real supermarket.

Near the train station,… although it takes a while to get to the main attractions in the area. Clean, spacious room, Japanese style. Friendly host, whom you can communicate with via a translating app. Good shower. Wifi works well. Fridge, microwave and water heater in the room.

The complimentary toothbrush comes with toothpaste. Regretfully, the toothpaste isn’t even enough for one brush.

The owner was very friendly and kindly gave us information about local restaurants. The hotel is kept very clean and is close to the station. For the very reasonable price we paid for two nights, this hotel is great value for money.

I stayed 4nights and asked if I could leave my carry-on bag when I checked out and pick it up around 6pm... And they said no. They said they wouldn't be there at that time. Really?! Then how are people going to check-in if there's nobody?! I was really disappointed as I had really enjoyed my stay there. The outside of the building is not good.

Loved how big the room was and how well equipped it was: it had a fridge and a microwave! The location was good, in a quiet area of town and just a short walk from the station.

None. Do take note that if you plan to explore Nikko/Lake Chuzenji it will be a long commute from this area.

It is very close to the town, and so it is very convenient when exploring the area. It is also a very big room, so you will not have issues with storing your luggage, etc. The owner is very welcoming and can communicate via translator app

Have to take a walk down pass train track and make a U turn to get to Lawson as it does not have a walkway to go down directly. All shops and eating places are closed by the time we arrived at about 6:30pm. So probably worth to pay more to stay in onsen hotel with dinner included.

Near to the train station and the only Lawson I know which is in front of the hotel. The room is large and can hold up to 4 pax futon bed. The room has microwave which is great to heat up food as the only option you have if arriving after 6pm is Lawson. The train track is in front of the hotel so you can see it from a little window opening if you get the right room facing the front of the hotel.
