Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere is no tooth brush provided in the room.
The room is bigger than the average. Location is good but since we arrived late at night, there’s not really much to experience.

AustraliaCheck in was a bit tricky. I booked 2 rooms both with breakfasts. One of them somehow was recorded as no breakfast on their record. Perhaps a communication issue between Booking.com and the hotel.
The size of the room, the bed was comfortable. I also like that there is an onsen for guests to use.

United StatesThe largest room they provide is still very small, and you need to pay extra if you want to have breakfast in the morning, but not many choices
Location is really close to Ginza, and most of time you need to self-serve.

JapanI don’t know why but my reservation was canceled on the system of the hotel (actually it wasn’t updated so that my reservation had gone). It took a while to be sorted out. the reception staff tried to solve the issue but her manager didn’t seem helpful and just put pressure on her, which wasn’t nice. Breakfast was less varieties and waste a lot of paper cups and plates. Elevators were slow.
The reception staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

Hong KongRooms are smallish but still great value for what you pay for. Some rooms didn't have bathtubs or heated toilets.
the location was perfect as we needed a place close to the metro station that would take us to Haneda Airport.

SwitzerlandCheck-In has to be done autonomously on a machine, which didn't really work for us - we were checked in, but then the computer failed to mention in which room we were.
Good and modern hotel in the Chuo district, which is good for (high-end) shopping. Close to the Tokyo main train station (ca. 15min walk). Our room was modern, clean, but not too spacious (as is common for Japan). Nice view over the city, good shower. BEST breakfast with real bread, which was very needed after almost 3 weeks of travelling Japan ;)

Modern hotel with onsen, excellent central location, well connected, nearby high end shopping and plenty of cheap restaurants. No restaurant in hotel but good buffet breakfast with variety of excellent breads.

Philippinesnothing too major. just found it strange that you couldn’t buy coffee from the bar if buffet is being served. also found strange that there were no phones in the room. was thinking if you had an emergency, you would have to go out in the hallway to use the in-house phone to ask for help.
property was new and clean, as well as centrally located. the in-house hot bath was such a treat at the end of the day!

PortugalCheck-in at 17h, not flexible, is a big let down. It can ruin your day. In the other hand you get 14h check-out time in the last day which is good.
From all the hotels we stayed in Japan, this one has the best structure. A nice bar and restaurant, with good food. Breakfast was ok, and the room is very big for Japanese standards.

IsraelStayed a twice at the hotel, during the same trip. Unfortunately the staff wasn't so helpful. The onsen almost always crowed and at late night not always clean. Was expecting for more cleannes. The breakfast not really worth to spent about it additional fee.
The location is absolutely stunning, close to Yurakchoo JR station, Tokyo Station or Tsikiji Market (old) can be reached by feet as well, around 1 km.

AustriaI know that self check-in and self check-out via a terminal might be efficient or convenient in some cases, but I prefer interacting with staff. But maybe I'm a little bit old-fashioned in this matter.
The good stuff: - The rooms are very spacious for Tokyo, and they are really comfortable - Separate toilet and bath - The bathroom was really great - Nice public baths - From my room on the 12th floor I had a great view of the skyline - Good location, many places to eat nearby - Good breakfast, although mostly western style - Nice staff - It wasn't cheap, but for me it was great value for money nontheless, it feels like you know what you pay for, which isn't always the case
