Sawa Sawa exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend a stay there, avoiding the crowds of Dinia Beach and enjoying the quiet charm of Msambwemi. The manager, Stacey, was a total pro, and arranged everything from our airport pick up to dinner reservations, a guided trip to Kisite Marine Park and a Kongo River cruise. Lovely accommodation, great staff. Just wonderful.

What a beautiful oasis this place is. Right at the beach, with great chillout areas all around the place, nice pool, and the best of all was the lovely staff! Stacey is a great manager and Geoffrey is the nicest person on earth who will make sure you are more than well taken care of. The food and the drinks were absolutely delicious too. Wifi worked perfectly as well. We extended our short stay and did not leave the place for four days straight other than for some beach walks, especially during low tide out to the sand banks. If you look for a peaceful place to just relax, unwind, and not worry about anything - this is it!

This was undoubtedly the best place we could have stayed in Kenya. The accommodation was excellent; we had a cozy room that included everything we needed (we requested a small table, and it was provided promptly). The room and common areas offered reliable Wi-Fi, and the outdoor swimming pool was pristine and well-maintained, with daily cleaning. The beach access was monitored by a friendly security guard, ensuring guests were safe from any beach vendors. The beach area featured several loungers, tables, and "sofas," allowing guests to enjoy their breakfast right by the water. What truly set this place apart, however, was the exceptional staff, including the kind and helpful Manager. The bartenders were warm and welcoming, serving us throughout the day, and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu offered a variety of dishes that were sure to please everyone, and the cocktails were expertly prepared. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable. All of these elements combined to make our stay truly unforgettable, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing experience.

Msambweni is located relatively far from the activities, restaurants etc. on the Kenyan coast that primarily are located in Diani. The place is however excellent for relaxation.

Sawa Sawa is nothing less then a hidden paradise in a nice authentic village, away from the crowds. Literally everyone who works there makes you feel at home. The infrastructure is basic but clean, it's perfect for what you pay for it. The food and drinks are really good, also for vegetarians, and at very reasonable prices. Hope to go back one day!

Perfect location bordering the lovely sandy beach. At low tide the reef can be explored, teeming with life in the rock pools and sandy lagoons to lounge in. When the tide comes in the sea is as warm as a bath. Breakfast is excellent with lovely fresh fruit selection and fresh juice. The main menu is varied and portions generous. The staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Miss Stacey & Goefrey made us so welcome. The comfortable rooms are beautifully decorated in the local style. Great pool with lots of places to relax in the sun or shade.

Lovely small hotel with amazing staff. The hotel feels a little bit like paradise. It is perfect if you want to relax and wind down. Directly situated at the beach and the architecture with the pavilion and the pool in front of it gives the place a great aesthetic. The staff was amazing - helpful and very friendly. Without them the hotel wouldn’t be the same. The only downside you might have is that it is a little bit remote but on the upside less tourists and if you mainly want to relax this place is amazing for this. The food is also good and has vegetarian options. Highly recommended!

Local beachboys basically camping down at the entrance to the beach and constantly try to connect with guests and sell stuff to them, that can be really annoying. Kind words just don't work, you have to be very firm and strict in telling them to STOP, then will leave you alone. It was really disturbing to us, and took away from the lovely environment and privacy we could have on the beach. If they were not constantly in our face to sell stuff, we even could have nice conversations and even bought some handcrafted stuff from them. But this way, it is disturbing to the guests.

Lovely place, ideal with family and kids. Rooms were cleaned, they always asked if we wanted our nets mosquito sprayed. Staff (especially Joffrey and Jeff) were especially very kind and helpful. Also we really appreciated that the owner, Stacey has managed to arrange a last minute transfers from Mombasa Airport and late dinner, when our pre-arranged transfer declined after a flight delay. We arrived super tired and hungry, so that dinner saved lives. :) The general breakfast was nice, portions were enough. The view and closeness of the beach and sea is amazing, we would return to this place at any give moment! High recommended! Thank you!

I cannot think of anything that can be improved.

I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. The staff is professional (specially Ian and Joffrey). They made sure everything was perfect and were very kind and respectful. Stacey (the manager) made sure to provide any sort of help I needed with booking transport or getting around. Location is perfect for an idyllic and relaxing holiday. Food was great. You have a lot of options for breakfast and it is prepared fresh when you order. You also get delicious fresh fruit. Cannot recommend this place more if you want to relax away from all the tourist traps. The rooms are a bit basic compared to a fancy hotel but you have everything you need.
