Amazing hotel indulge in nature. The rooms are modern and simple and you get a lot of privacy. The pool is perfect for relaxing with a unique view. Staff is phenomenal and very kind, starting with Mista Vikta from the security, always welcoming us with the biggest smile. Vanessa is a great hotel manager, very helpful and nice. Cleaning is 5 stars.

The only thing that can bother a little bit is loud music from nearby that was playing on some nights.

When we stayed in a bigger room it was phenomenal. Very comfortable, clean, with a nice fan. The view from the terrace was stunning. The small one was also okay, but if you can, invest little extra and enjoy in luxury. We specially liked the pool area. Its like an oasis..you can realy relax and chill after a day of bargaining with people on the beach 😉 The staff was proffessional and hard working, Vanessa stood out - she even arragend little surprise in the room after we told her it was our honeymoon.

We can’t recommend Tombo House highly enough. The grounds were beautiful, the room lovely, food good and staff exceptional. We found it very easy to get around using the hotel’s reliable Tuk Tuk contact, and booked excursions through them too.

I found expensive that I have to pay 1000 kes to wash my clothes and 200 kes for each piece that I need to iron when they were supposed to be ironed after washing. 2800 Kes for washing two loads and ironing 4 pieces.

Tombo House is a very cozy accommodation. It is not located on the beachfront, but it is within walking distance of resorts where you can go spend the day on the beach for a reduced price, most of the time redeemable. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help the guest book different activities, restaurants or contact reliable drivers to get around. The breakfast was also very nice and abundant with different options of fresh fruits.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Everything was perfect, and I'm so glad I found Tombo House - much better than all of the other properties in the vicinity. I noticed that people complained that it was far from the main road down a dirt track - that's the whole point! It's meant to be tucked away. It's not that far anyway, just a short tuktuk ride away, or alternatively, if you can walk (which I couldn't due to injury), it's still a lovely walk through the side roads to see all the monkeys misbehaving - it's nice to walk around like a local :) and say hello to all the neighbours.

Tombo House is an incredible hidden gem in Diani Beach, Mombasa, that ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted to reconnect with nature, switch off from my devices, relax, eat good food and enjoy the tropical weather that Mombasa had to offer. Tombo House was the perfect hideaway to do that. Its grounds are incredibly well looked after, and the gardens were absolutely stunning to walk around, all well-maintained and beautiful. The room itself (Deluxe double with a balcony) exceeded my expectations - it was extremely clean, well decorated and was very calming to stay there. The bathroom was clean, as was the bedroom and hallway, and the balcony had the most incredibly mountain view with lots of trees and monkeys that came to say hello in the early morning or early evening. I was pleased that the room had mosquito nets on the windows, which meant I could fall asleep to the birds and crickets at night without getting eaten alive by the mozzies. It was also really relaxing to have the windows open when it lashed down with tropical rain! I really loved the breakfast, too. I enjoyed waking up early to enjoy a selection of fresh fruits, delicious German sweet bread (and all the condiments and jams), and the two ladies who made me delicious eggs and bacon every morning. I also loved the morning playlist in the dining area, although it did feel like groundhog day sometimes because I kept hearing the same song every day (John Mayer) but I didn't mind, it was very relaxing and I loved the songs. Great music taste by the way. I LOVED the garden with the gorgeous pool and sun beds, and the staff were incredibly helpful with everything. Thank you Nora, your partner as well for his friendliness, Eunice is the best, as is Vanessa, the two men maintaining the garden were friendly, as were the security team. Kira and the other pooch!!! I felt very safe travelling alone here and it's all thanks to you guys. Thank you. Will definitely come back again! P.S.
