Great location near Globus, the marschrutka stand, beach and main road. I walked and unintentionally hitchhiked to the petroglyphs site.
I loved Cholpon Ata. Not many tourists around. Locals were not super friendly but there were a few who were awesome, like the guy who gave me a ride and some who spoke to me.

“Second time staying here with my chihuahua and we would both gladly return. The room was clean (not even any dust inside the wardrobe) and had everything we needed, including a cold mini-fridge, a desk, a good shower and good internet.
The single bed was comfortable, although I would have preferred a double. The courtyard is green and nicely landscaped.
The host, Svetlana, was hospitable and always available from the moment I made the booking until the end of my stay. When I asked her how to get to Cholpan Ata from Bishkek she connected me with a taxi driver. Even though I arrived at close to midnight without giving her much warning, she was waiting to check me in. The property is located in a quiet neighbourhood and is a short walk to a small bazaar and a grocery store. I walked to the lakeshore in about 10 minutes. Excellent budget option.”
“Very nice hotel with a perfect location. 5minutes to the bus station, 10 minutes to the beach,20 minutes to the rukh ordo all by walking. It has a walking park right next to it with a little lake. Rooms was perfectly clean and it had everything you need. It's run by a family and they are so helpful. Their son Oleg can speak perfect English and he helped us with everything. They arranged us a tour, they suggested a hotspring, they even took our bags to the room while we were dining. We were so greatful with them.”
