Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandVery loud in the evenings, nobody cares that you’re trying to sleep (although maybe it was just my luck, it seems that there was some group of friends that was talking and laughing all the time). Maybe the owner should explain hostel rules at the check-in to avoid such situations. The bathroom was very dirty (spiders, mold) and only one shower for around 20 people, because the other was out of order. It was very difficult to get to the upper capsule, because I’m quite heavy and the ladder is installed in such way that you cannot step on the last bar. The owner didn’t want to give me the lower one and said all are taken although in the evening it turned out there were a few free, but she just didn’t want to make the bed. Electricity outputs are installed very high. So be sure to take a long cable, otherwise you will have to keep your hand up constantly while lying. No lockers to keep your things safe.
Good value for this price. Very close to main shopping street. There is common kitchen and small patio. Good WiFi connection.

SpainThe bathrooms were not always clean and often lacked toilet paper and hand soap. One of the administrators seemed unprofessional, appearing hungover and even vomiting in the shared bathroom. Also, when we extended our stay directly, card payment was no longer accepted.
Great central location and good value for money. The beds are comfortable, spacious, and come with personal lights and sockets. There's a large common area and kitchen, which is nice for relaxing or socializing. The receptionist was helpful, and we were able to pay by card when we arrived.

FranceDue to the affluence and the lack of proper cleaning, the quality of the place is degrading fast. When you have a hostel for 40+ people, you cannot clean just once a day...
The best fron the Hostel it's the location. The room to leave the bags before trekking is a big plus.

Good position in the center of town and close to two bus stations. The beds were big. The kitchen was well equipped and the atmosphere was friendly.

NetherlandsThe staff isn’t really present, only some cleaning ladies that come once a day. We were locked in in the morning, luckily we found our own way out through the private doors. The host didn’t answer until 18:00 and said he/she was out of the country so it was out of their hands… I am glad we did some exploring. It also wasn’t the cleanest hostel I’ve ever seen. Nonetheless, comfortable beds and quite cheap, so I’d still recommend.
The beds were really comfortable, we had a great night of sleep

KazakhstanThe two young women running the hostel were a little unprofessional, bringing in (presumably) their boyfriends, and all four of them sitting together in one capsule. It also could have been cleaner, especially the bathrooms.

United KingdomThe open-plan layout of the hostel is pretty awful. Having no partition between the kitchen and capsule area means it's incredibly noisy when there are inconsiderate people staying. Cleanliness is also poor. The sheets and bedding are clean but the little shelf at the back of the Capsule was gross. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. The toilet/shower definitely doesn't get cleaned enough for the amount of people staying at the hostel. Never enough toilet paper provided. The young girl working there is kind but severely overworked I'd say. They need more staff to be able to manage the hostel better.
The capsules themselves are pretty comfortable and offered privacy when the curtain was closed. There were plugs and a private light in the capsule. Laundry is cheap. The location is excellent.

FranceI feel there is some room for improvements regarding public areas/facilities. For example, there is no real separation/door between the dormitory and the dining/cooking area, so if someone wakes up early or goes to bed late, you definitely will hear some noise. Also, since there's no partition between shower and wc, there's water all over the floor, which is not so pleasant.
The staff was super helpful and friendly. The location is central, so you can easily walk to the city center with cafes, supermarkets, etc., and explore the northern or southern parts of the city. In particular, if you intend to the Ala-kul trek, there's a marshrutka stop close-by. The capsule/bed was clean.

IsraelThe kitchen and main table are next to the beds so you mostly hear loud tourists speak all day and night. Also you can look through the main bathroom door and see people doing there things so it’s wired

AustraliaThe bathrooms were slightly hodge-podge but still did the job.
The Capsule Hostel served us for a night in Karakol between visiting other places in the region. Having stayed elsewhere in Karakol previously, it was a very good location convenient to the central part of town with eateries and shops. The layout of the main dorm and access to the kitchen is pretty cool and very spacious! That was a big plus. The 'capsules' (I actually liked that there was a curtain at the end, rather than a fully enclosed capsule, sometimes that can feel really claustrophobic) were also very clean and comfortable and seemed quite new. The hostel didn't have quite the homey hostel feel of places we stayed elsewhere BUT that's also dependent on who's staying and it's not from the hostels lack of trying to create a welcoming space.

IrelandKitchen needs a few more facilities - a tea towel please!
Really loved the staff here - so helpful. The layout of the hostel wasn't great - a door between cooking area and dorm beds would have reduced noise but most people have enough cop on to stop chatting after 11 (apar from the 3 loud Spanish lads!) Hostel is well located, clean and beds are comfortable. Left my bag here for 3 days while I went away on a hike with no problem. Recommended.

AustraliaThe sheets aren't fitted so slip off the bed easily. The kitchen is really poorly equipped, like one knife, one chopping board that is black with mould and no lids for the saucepans etc.
The hostel is cleaned regularly. But it's just a giant dorm, they aren't real capsules. There are so many people it's incredibly noisy and it's open plan so the kitchen/dining/hang out area is right next to where you sleep with no door. The "capsules" are not soundproof at all.

SloveniaA bit dirty due to bad guest manners, especially toilets. One shower had cloged sink and good water preassure but the sink had bad preassure. Other shower had bad preassure and sink had good preassure. So you had to combine usage, one for shower and one for using sink.
Main bus line stop for trekking ala kul outside the hostel. Close to shops and equipment rent. Staff spoke english well. Relatively clean and cozy. Worth the price. Kitchen and terrace ok
