Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Amazing place with a big lounge and terrace. The hosts speak good English and it's central. Best breakfast in Kyrgyzstan. I highly recommend this place. They can also arrange tours to Pamir Highway for you.

Sultan Saray is tucked down a quiet street with a lovely garden and a big space that is great for bike travellers. You can park your bike in the courtyard, pack and unpack it, work on it and do whatever you need. The family is very kind and helpful and can help you sort out anything you need in Osh. I would definitely book here again.

This place made me regret all the "9s" and "10s" I gave over this holiday. This is clean! Really clean! Not "ok-I-can-deal-with-that-clean". Breakfast was gorgeous. Staff is super nice. .

Nothing, everything was great
This place is a diamond in the rough. Osh doesn’t have much going for it but this family are amazing, super friendly and informative and they provide a fantastic breakfast and a really cozy home full of people passing through travelling in all different directions

Absent/not so welcoming hosts. Let them do my laundry and it came back wet after 1 day of 'drying' and with an even more bad smell than before washing. Had to let it rewash/dry in my next stay.
Very nice and big room with good beds. Breakfast was very good.

Our room on the 1st floor as well as the bathroom were exceptionally spacious (rooms on ground floor less so). Comfortable beds. Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet location (but centre close enough to walk there).

Room was very nice with private shower and toilet. Walking distance to several services, Sierra Cafe, supermarket, riverside walks etc. Excellent breakfast with variety of options even for a vegetarian. Taxi service was ordered nicely and smoothly to reach start of Pamir highway tour. Highly recommended place.

We started early for our hiking tour and asked if we could get the breakfast at 7:30 am instead of 8 am, because we left just before 8. They said it was not possible. We asked if we could leave a few things behind as we booked Sultan Saray for one night before and after the hiking tour, but they said it was not possible. The house is HUGE, there seemed to be plenty of space for storing a 20 l bag. Most people come here for hiking, and accommodating such requests would be appreciated by many, so I suggest to consider them in the future. Other than these two things the staff was helpful, a bit cold, but helpful, they called a taxi on Yandex for us and recommended place for dinner.
Great location, fantastic value for money, nice breakfast served after 8 am, comfy room, clean place, cute garden, chill zones, drinking water in barrel in the hallway.

Lovely property. Extremely hospitable host. Excellent facilities. Quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in Central Asia. I can't recommend it enough!

There was a bit of remodeling happening during our stay and there was no glass in the window above the shower so there was a little bit of hallway noise that came in through the bathroom.
The breakfast was excellent. The hosts set out a buffet table for the two of us including pancakes, bread, jams, fruit and nuts, and also cooked eggs for us. The hostel was a short walk away from many restaurants and the "I Love Osh" photo op site.

Very friendly and helpful owner. He organised a taxi for us to go to Panjikant. Nice clean, safe apartment. Not too far away from all the major attractions. All within walking distance
