There is no key for the women's shower room, it might man enter accidentally. The staff didn't clean the women's shower room for 4 days and the drain was clogged with hair, like a pool.

The dorm was pretty comfortable, new sheets, and provided towels. Staff clean the room and kitchen pretty often.

WakeUp Bishkek is centrally located and well placed for walkability to civic attractions, food, shopping and public transport to places like Osh Bazaar and mashrutka/shared taxi stations. This is where we stayed on arrival to Kyrgyzstan and found the location easy for organising our time in Kyrgyzstan (for example the phone stores in the nearby mall, ample bankomats, supermarkets for purchasing food etc). We did an overnight hike in Ala Archa and were able to leave excess luggage in storage at the property safely. I'd recommend having a meal at Ethno Cafe a couple of buildings over when you are there too.

The hostel is in a convenient location, is comfortable and was a good base for our travel around Bishkek.

Not much storage space - lots of bags strewn across the dorm room floor and bundled in corners. There are lockers in the corridor but we only got one once we asked. And staff have duplicate keys for them anyway as they were opening lots that had people’s things in to find an empty one for us. Only 3 toilets for everyone which meant they got pretty disgusting quite quickly… Showers very basic with nowhere to put shower head so you have to hold it Staff often absent - witnessed multiple people waiting a while to ask questions etc. Cooking only allowed until 6pm?!

Room had great air con and was a lovely temperature even with 39°C outside Beds very comfy and private with light and socket and curtain. Room was quiet despite the number of beds. 3 bathrooms for 24 beds turned out to be a scarce resource at times.

Located just in the city center. It's easy to walk to major landmarks from here. Tons of parks around, nice coffeeshops in 50-100 meters. A 24/7 convenience store literally in the same building. All these make WakeUp Hostel a perfect base for a solo traveler.

shower was bad, one had uneven surface, and it gets slippery, obviously another didn't have any door or at least a curtain maybe too much people for a small space
