Nothing. Everything was perfect

Firstly: I cannot remember when I last have a 10"! So central (all the bars, eateries and riverside are 5 mins walk away) yet so quiet and calm. Has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. Modern and bright with art deco / colonial decor. Nice, clean pool area. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom and quality linens. Good amount of storage space. Great, made to order, breakfast. Lovely, professional and helpful staff. Good Wi-Fi

The only possible improvement would be to put darker curtains in the room, to prevent the sun form entering.

I was upgraded for free to a bigger room. The bed was very comfortable, the restaurant, open all day long, is good, the staff is very nice and the location is perfect. The decoration of common areas - mi by and restaurant - makes this hotel a very special and lovely place. I strongly recommend this hotel.

It would have been nice to have some body lotion and hair conditioner in the rooms. The bed was quite hard- but that seems quite common in Asia. We wished we had booked a bigger room, but the value for what we got was wonderful! House keeping missed taking some old glasses and pool towels etc. out of our room when cleaning. Just super minor stuff!

The staff at the Old Cinema were so so lovely. Helpful, polite and offered to help with anything we needed. Including a map of the local area and recommendations. They are an expat and Cambodia mix so communication was so easy. The design and aesthetic were beautiful, it’s a lovely building with beautiful lanterns and colours. The pool was great, they also have some games, books and things to borrow/use whilst you stay. The food- was honestly some of the best we had in Cambodia. DELICIOUS! A great selection of drinks too. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend!

A standout experience in Kampot! The hotel’s vintage design sets a charming tone, but it’s the service that truly shines. Sokkun and Pov made me feel like a VIP, and the rest of the team was just as lovely. Every meal was a treat and the cocktails? Crafted with flair and care. If you’re looking for character, history, comfort and really good vibes, this place delivers!

Nothing I could put my finger on.

A truly unique property oozing character and charm from a bygone era. A big shout out to Bas, Gilly and the entire team for making my stay so comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast menu covered all the bases and the bar had a wide range of international & local gins, craft beers plus a selection of interesting wines. As for my room it had a lot of extra touches with the balcony overlooking the atrium. Overall a most pleasant stay in Kampot.

The old cinema is gorgeous! It’s been renovated of late and is a pleasure to the eye! The staff are always happy and ready to help with anything and the food is phenomenal! I love the ambiance of the bar, surrounded by the pool and eating area.

Out of this world ambience! Set in the heart of Kampot, this wonderful oasis stands out for its delightful art deco styling and relaxing atmosphere. The attention to detail is second to none, including the wonderful food and exceptional staff. Well done Pauline and team! Definitely 100 out of 100!

It was slightly noisy - we could hear voices coming from downstairs. Our room was on the first floor.

We were very fortunate to have been upgraded to the superior king suite that had ample space. It was tastefully furnished, comfy and very clean. Service by the staff, such as Lin, was exceptional and attentive. The set breakfast was superb! The location was ideal too - it was near restaurants in the historic part of Kampot. We felt privileged to have had the opportunity to stay in a heritage building that has been so lovingly refurbished.

Nothing. This place is so special, we can't recommend it enough!

Where to begin . The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and every other space, the quality of the food and the drinks. We loved EVERYTHING! This place is pure magic and the attention to detail is amazing. It's no surprise this is housed in an old cinema building, as everywhere you look you just want to photograph. It's also in a great location to explore Kampot, and the staff is more than happy to give recommendations and help you with further travel arrangements. What else can we say? Just book it already!

We loved our stay at the Old Cinema - the building is really cool, it has been renovated beautifully and the staff are the best we have encountered on a 5 month SE Asia trip so far. The food at the restaurant is the best we ate in Kampot and the breakfast was so generous. We liked it so much we are staying there again when we return to Kampot.
